carterfox90 Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 apparently not what you would call a prolific striker by his record
Jimmy Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 apparently not what you would call a prolific striker by his record doesn't need to be if he's the size of Howard, Heskey never scored a lot for us but he was Vital to Steve Claridge and TC's success
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 doesn't need to be if he's the size of Howard, Heskey never scored a lot for us but he was Vital to Steve Claridge and TC's success Hes not the size of Howard but a similar sort of player.
Jimmy Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 Hes not the size of Howard but a similar sort of player. well the point still stands then, if he can hold the ball up to allow the midfielders to join in and win flick ons for Fryatt/Waghorn then great he'd be a good player to get, especially on a free
Jon the Hat Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 I heard Nigel is waiting till this thread gets to 50 pages before he makes his decision. This story about Kermit not being fit is a cover up. Get writing people!

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 It's on the OS. Oh cheers! I never use that much any more! EDIT: Just seen it suprised Gradel is playing, but doesnt it normally just say 'Trialist' rather than the persons name? Hope he scores a few.
Sly Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 LINK HERE!! --------- Max Gradel leads a group of first-teamers tonight when City's Reserves take on Sheffield United in the totesport.com Cup at the Walkers Stadium, kick-off 7.0. Also in the squad are Luke O'Neill, Astrit Ajdarevic, Ashley Chambers, DJ Campbell and Levi Porter who all have senior experience. Ironically, the two first-teams met at Bramall Lane last night where they battled out a 1-1 draw so both camps will be trying to go one better tonight. The Upton Steel West Stand will be open for the game against the Blades second string, with adult tickets priced at £5. Children aged under-16 can attend for free, providing they are accompanied by a full paying adult. Tickets are available at the turnstiles on the night. City Reserves: Cisak; O'Neill, Faye, Burns, Rowe-Turner, Parkes, Gradel, Ajdarevic, Campbell, Kermogrant, Chambers, Sappleton, Ambrusics, Porter, Milnes, C King, Hicks, Yussuf. --------- Also .... who is Yussuf?

acooling08 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 From Merc: Trialist Yann Kermorgant impressed during the Foxes reserve side's 4-1 romp over Sheffield United in the Totesport.com at the Walkers Stadium last night. The 27-year-old, who has been on trail with City since the summer, gave Nigel Pearson more food for thought with an eye-catching display, especially as the Foxes boss is looking to bolster his attack. Pearson's need has been increased by the injuries to Steve Howard and Martyn Waghorn at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night. The latest name to be linked with City is Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher in a speculated loan move, but Kermorgant did himself no harm last night. The former Stade Reims forward scored the opening goal with a clinical finish after good work by DJ Campbell, and his defence-splitting pass in first-half injury-time teed up Campbell for his second and City's fourth before the striker was withdrawn at half-time. Kermorgant also showed impressive vision to pick out his team-mates with an array of passing and Levi Porter should have done better after half-time after the Frenchman had dissected the Blades defence again with a flick-on. Pearson also took the opportunity to take a look at 29-year-old Senegalese left-back Ibrahima Faye. Faye had been playing in France with League One side Troyes AC. He has been training with Stoke City recently but he was among the City ranks against a poor Blades side. Campbell, who has been linked with a move to Blackpool after Seasiders boss Ian Holloway revealed he is in talks with the striker, scored his first in the 32nd minute after superb work from Max Gradel, who was able to wriggle to the by-line before picking out Campbell in the six-yard box. Tom Parkes had earlier added to Kermorgant's opener when he volleyed home Gradel's corner. It was not all good news for City because young midfielder Robert Burns had to be helped from the field with a shoulder injury early on and Liban Abdi pulled a goal back for the Blades late on.
