Babylon Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 It has been like this for the last three years in summer. The jet stream has shifted and what use to go around us now goes directly over us... or as least that's what some weather boffin said.
lou Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Yeah the boffins that predicted August to be a "barbeque summer" a few weeks back have now announced its going to be "Unsettled" ... cheers for that guys! Its all my fault... the nice weather went the day after I bought a new garden swing. The raincover hasnt been off since I bought it

The raincover hasnt been off since I bought it I bought a snazy bbq, was well looking forward to it.......it's still in it's box, i'm returning it tommorow!!
ob1kanobe0 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 It's July, it's summer Easily the coldest July ive ever known. I blame global warning I noticed the BBC havn't given up on blaming humans via their report yesterday of melting ice, thus rising water, what they keep forgetting is that water expands when it freezes.

Manwell Pablo Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 It aint as bad as a couple of years ago, when there was actual flooding up and down the country, we had it good for a awhile back in late June/ start of this month. It will have been a pretty bad summer if August doesn't pick up though. The weather nobs haven't got a clue whats going to happen, they have proved this on numerous occasions. For a start off they've predicted this summer to be the hottest in years awhile back.
dandannieldanok Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 The weather's pathetic, the season of summer may as well be taken out of the Oxford English dictionary. This current weather is disappointing in early spring and autumn never mind the height of summer.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8173533.stm Well I never. In fairness, it's not as bad as either of the last two years. I don't know why they bother broadcasting weather forecasts anyway. Most people seem to look out the window in the morning and assume that's what's going to happen all day
Libertine Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 BEST MORE LYK [/twat] I do like it. Gets boring after a while though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Half you ***** would be moaning about it being too hot if it was sunny anyway.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Half you ***** would be moaning about too hot if it was sunny anyway. I know I would be. I can moan about hot weather even when it isn't hot
potter3 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Isn't July always one of the wettest months of the year?
AyewJoking Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I dont mind rain too much but this "summer" has been total bóllocks so far, we'll probably get a two week heatwave in October when the kids are back in school and everyone has work.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I'd gloat if I could as here in Voj it's 30+ most of the time. The problem is that I can't stand the heat and my friends continually take the piss out of me for it, giving me the old mad dogs/mid day sun line (I'm half English). A nice overcast 20 degrees with a bit of drizzle is what I prefer (there must be a Mancunian in my ancestry). More amusing (and ironic) still though, scanning your liberal/lefty rags, is their man made global warming coverage virtually sitting next to the Met Office's dismissal of the value of its own long term weather forecasts. Only in England...

I blame global warning I noticed the BBC havn't given up on blaming humans via their report yesterday of melting ice, thus rising water, what they keep forgetting is that water expands when it freezes. i don't think we will be needing our shades this summer
dandannieldanok Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I don't mind the odd crap day as long as we get some decent days like we're supposed to. Don't think I've actually seen the sun in the UK since that hot week back in June.
Smudge Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Looks a bit cloudy to me. Broken cloud a little humid.............BUT nice by the beach, drinking a cold frosty beverage and looking at the "scenery".
