Guest Bilo Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 How viable is train travel for Vicarage Road? Never been to the place before and have no idea to be honest. Also, how much are tickets likely to set me back and will they reach Priority 3? This is where the assault on Priority 1 status (or 2 at the very least) begins for me.

Jiggers the Fox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 My first ever away day this! didnt have a problem getting these on general sale that time so cant imagine demand would be much higher now.
Katy Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I guess it all depends on how many tickets we get, how well we're doing etc, etc. It's not the most difficult place to get to.
C-man Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Yep my priority 1 is available for this too, but i doubt it'll sell out before general sale anyway, unless were still in the top 6 by then.
General Smuts Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Priority 1 going spare for this. Yep my priority 1 is available for this too, but i doubt it'll sell out before general sale anyway, unless were still in the top 6 by then. I'll take both if available. This is a home game for me so i'm definately involved.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 This'll be my first away game this season. Looking forward to it already. Nice place really, all the fans arehelpful, and should be one of the most enjoyable this season. Especially with a Leicester win.
C-man Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Karl you can take mine. I'll buy it for you and you can pay me back and receive the ticket at the nearest available time... when are you in Leicester between the date they go on sale and the game?
CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 This'll be my first away game this season. Looking forward to it already. Nice place really, all the fans arehelpful, and should be one of the most enjoyable this season. Especially with a Leicester win. I am rather 'meh' to it for that reason. Dead easy to get but it's normal English town with it's McDonalds and shopping centre unlike the likes of Hereford and Cheltenham last season and the fans are to the point 'helpful'...it's almost smug. Anyways nonetheless, nice and simple away game. I remember Collymore's debut there....magic. As for Bilo, you should have no problem getting a ticket.

I shall PM you nearer the time. EDIT: Will definitely be back in Leicester by then, move into the new place on September 4th.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 This should be my first away day of the season! Might see if I can get someone to come with me as I went out in Watford to a few of the bars and clubs a couple of weeks ago and it was a pretty good place compared to what I expected.
Joe. Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Will probably be me last away game for a whilke before I bugger off South. Haven't been to Watford yet, so it's hopefully another ground to tick off the list.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 I might be going to this one. Maybe. Either this or Cov is my first game of the season
James. Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 I might be going to this one. Maybe. Either this or Cov is my first game of the season PART TIMER

The train station in watford is great, and really not that far from the stadium. Lots of good transport links from the station to the ground aswell(bus, taxi etc). Id say maximum ten minute walk from watford high street station to vicarage road.

Id say maximum ten minute walk from watford high street station to vicarage road. It's Watford Junction station, not "high street". Just watch out 'cos there is another Watford station and it's not very convenient for anything, even trains. Watford Junction is on the direct line from Nuneaton, which is the easiest way to get there from Leicester, or you can go into London and then get a quick train out from Euston.
