AjcW Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 3-2 after 37 mins New I should of waited until half time
lcfc_jme Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Arsenal are such a beautiful footballing side, I really do love watching them play when they're fully flowing and picking their passes properly. The two assists from Cesc for the Van Persie and Arshavin goals were sublime. And Rosicky's cross with the outside of his foot to pick out Fabregas was stunning. Sexy football. This is miles better than Liverpool - Chelsea will be later on. And before anyone says anything about me hating Sky and watching their games, I'm not. I'm watching an audacious foreign stream.
AjcW Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Well that was fantastic entertainment. 6-2 Arsenal. Fabregas was off the scale good. Next game might not be so enthralling, but who knows, its the premier league 09/10 after all. Come on Chels!!
StanSP Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Finished 6-2 . Walcott, Bendtner, Vermaelen, Arshavin, Van Persie and Fabregas score 1 each to secure a fantastic win for the Gunners. Samba was in my Fantasy League. Glad he didn't play!
lildave3 Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Even i'll admit Arsenal (Fabregas) were class today.
Dames Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Theres no chance on gods green earth there will be more than 2 goals in the Chelsea v Liverpool game. In the league this fixture is absolutely dire.
Thracian Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Finished 6-2 .Walcott, Bendtner, Vermaelen, Arshavin, Van Persie and Fabregas score 1 each to secure a fantastic win for the Gunners. Samba was in my Fantasy League. Glad he didn't play! If only more managers had the nerve to put their faith in fast, mobile pass-and-move footballers with quick control and imaginative ideas. All I get told on here is that I'm an embarrassment to the coaching badge and just dreaming of the impossible. Despite it being the introduction of fast-moving, positive players that provided the alertness and directness which allowed us to grab four welcome points from our last two away games. Perhaps there'll be more. Because at least Pearson seems to want the right things. And seems prepared to make changes if he's not getting them. Wenger meanwhile should be used as the blueprint for managerial development.

dave_the_fox Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Anyone no ote about 5 live commentator collapsing during commentary!?
AjcW Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Fantastic performance Chels. 2-0. Good stuff. Top of the tree.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Anyone no ote about 5 live commentator collapsing during commentary!? Said on 606 that the guy commentating on 5LiveXtra on the West Ham Fulaham game had a turn and is now recovering or something.
Corky Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Said on 606 that the guy commentating on 5LiveXtra on the West Ham Fulaham game had a turn and is now recovering or something. Yep, Nigel Adderley apparently. Good to see he's making a recovery.
leicesterfox86 Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 What do we think about Liverpool's title chances now? This football blog talks about whether there is a chance that you could lose the Premier League title in October, but surely it is too early to say that? Personally, I think they have not lost too many games already, but they will go on to lose too many to be able to win the league. Benitez is too negative, they rely on Gerrard and Torres far too much and they have nowhere near enough strength in depth. Arsenal have a better chance of winning the league in my view. At least they are positive and try and score goals.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 It is just typical Liverpool isn't it? Chelsea or United to win the league.
Corky Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 Was a good match at Villa Park. Draw a fair result.
maddog Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 Man City are doing very very well and thats a good point at Villa. And with Burnley and Fulham at home, and Wigan and Birmingham away in their next 4 Premier League games, i expect them to win them all and be very close to top spot, if not top spot.
AjcW Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 Really good game that, watched it in varsity. Quite funny really, every game I watched on setanta last year was shit.... every ESPN game so far has been really enjoyable.
sdb Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 I thought the game was pretty average tbh, given the sides involved. I was expecting a real footy treat.
AjcW Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 I thought the game was pretty average tbh, given the sides involved. I was expecting a real footy treat. The pace of the game was absolutely unbelievable, some of the skill on show too was class. Bellamy really has come into his own this season(no more fritzel jokes bilo). Dunne was exceptional at the back, him and collins look solid back there and warnocks pace from the left back position looks like a real asset for villa.
sdb Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 agreed the villa back 4 were excellent, there just weren't as many chances as I expected
lildave3 Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 Dunne was colossal tonight. Man City improved no end when Ireland came on, such a quality player.
