FXT Factor Season 3 NEWS FLASH:

It has been confirmed that there is to be a reshuffle in the judging line up of the successful 'talent' contest ahead of the start of the third season.

In a press conference earlier today, FXT Factor organiser and head judge FilboFox confirmed suspicions that there would be changes in the setup of the competition and that the judging panel would be seeing new faces. There are now to be open 'auditions' for anyone to enter with the judges making their decisions known for each and every audition publicly, hand picking the best ones to go through to the live shows when they begin in October. This is a radical change from previous years of the show when contestants would enter and the judges would privately decide amongst themselves which acts would go through to the live shows.

Also changing from past seasons, the contestants names will now be shown alongside their song choices throughout the competition in a move described by FilboFox as "increasing the openness of the contest and allowing the voters to base their decisions on the personalities of the contestants as well as their song choices." This change has been criticised by some, claiming that it is moving the contest away from being about the songs and more about the individuals. One unhappy fan said "if we wanted the contest to be about personalities, we'd watch Big Brother."

Perhaps the biggest and most significant alteration to the show though is in the form of the judging panel which is to see two new faces join the ranks. Libertine and NSLL will be sitting alongside FilboFox and AoWW who signed a new contract keeping her on for at least another year. The announcement that James. has been axed from the show came as little surprise to many who expected him to leave despite being the winning mentor last season. Conflicts during season two had left a strained relationship between James. and the shows producers who had this to say on the matter "We appreciate what James. has done for the show. He's been a great mentor and judge for the last two years and deserves every bit of praise for being the winning mentor last year, but it was felt that a change was needed to the line up to freshen up the show for series three."

The live shows start on the 10th October with auditions opening a couple of weeks or so before to allow the judges to make their decisions.

I did?! :unsure::ermm:

And having the contestant's names alongside their entries is a shocking idea. I might as well tell you the winners now then. :|

Boooooo.

Looking forward to being a rival again ;D

And yeah, I'd agree it's a poor idea. Voting would have nothing to do with the song, just the person in question.

People like maddog or GLC wouldn't have a prayer of winning, in this case.

Thought that might have been the reaction... I just wanted to put that in there to see what people thought really.

I never really had any intention of going through with that as, as you say, it would completely undermine the whole idea of it being about the song... sounded like good reporter spin though so I added it in! :D

When do the auditions start Filbo?

I might open them sometime this week or at the weekend depending on when I have the most time to get it done... I'm rather busy with getting back to Uni in the next few days and then getting everything set up so it's going to be hard to keep on top of it all. I might just open it tomorrow and then close it for us to give our feedback on a week before the live shows begin. :)

Hope that makes sense... I seem to be rambling...

Is this still the real X Factor thread?

If so, there are really good singers this year. We only have this on for the kids but that big black woman at the end was absolutely brilliant.

Fu*k those Irish kids!

Awful voices

Louie blatently got an instant erection.

Hated them so much! what was with that 'where's my twin? oh here he is' at the start of their performance. over confident.

Jamie Archer or Danyl Johnson to win based on their 1st auditions but wasn't hugely keen on their 2nd audition although they were still good.

The fact those little irish feckers (twins) got through makes a mockery of the whole show.

What a gimmick.

The annoying thing is they have Louis Walsh as a "mentor" so they might actually get onto the show.

How they've got this far I don't know!! They should have combined some more of the rejects and formed groups as the twins are just pure, utter, utter, f***in tools!

What a joke... Louis will be out by Week 3... none of the groups are any good.

The winner will come from the boys. The over's and the girls have some good singers, but nobody is either versatile enough if they are good, or good enough to be able to match the boys.

I'm guess at the winner being one of Lloyd, Ethan or Joseph... but then again, they might not even make it through their group is so tough... I'd be surprised though.
