leicesterfox86 Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Was thinking earlier about which players I would like to bring back in their absoloute peak. Say we can only choose three to help us get promotion from the Championship. I'd go for : Emile Heskey, Matt Elliot and Muzzy Izzit. Thoughts?
The Doctor Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Brian Deane Billy Mckinlay Tommy Wright (circa 1992)
flanimal Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 So, anyone regardless of whether or not they are retired and completely not upto it now? Collymore at his absolute peak - because he was (at his peak) unplayable. Izzet, because he could doo anything. Banks, best goalkeeper ever, why not?
foxoffderby Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Steve Walsh just a legend Mr Leicester City Tommy Wright amazing winger who could score great goals Ali Machlen hard as nails and probabley ate them for breakfast
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Iwan Roberts if nothing else but for the song alone. Everyone. OOOOOOHHHHHHH Iwan is a Welshman he wears a Welshman's hat etc. And the Smith -Lineker partnership too. We would piss this league by 10 points minimum with them up top.
phillcfc Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Guppy. Could teach Dyer a thing or two about how to cross a ball.
Lancsfox Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Keith Weller (RIP) Lenny Glover Frank Worthington and Gordon Banks
jimmy7587 Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 I'd have to sayyy Muzzy Izzet - he bossed the Championship last time. Him and Merson were the picks of the player weren't they. Steve Guppy - Most crosses in a Premiership season once wasn't he? He would supply Howard. Gary Linekar - He could do a job plus what a legend!! old and with fit bird! my kinda guy! Jimmy Walker Bowl Blog
flanimal Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Actually Guppy was a quality player. During an era when England seemed short of decent left-footed midfielders, I was always amazed he never got a full cap, would've solved the "left midfielder crisis" England had in one go. Crossed the ball great as well. Could hit a ball so well.
Salieri Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Gary Lineker - He could do a job plus what a legend!! old and with fit bird! my kinda guy. Walker Bowl Blog
foxaholic Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Keith Weller (RIP) Lenny Glover Frank Worthington and Gordon Banks Thats more like it assume you cant remember Arthur Rowley

Sooper Steve's shin Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Is it just me, or is this just a "who are your top three Leicester players" in disguise? Could have been interesting if it was which currently-playing ex-Foxes would you have back. In that case, I'd probably go with Mark Davies (if he's allowed as a loanee), Fulop and maybe Heskey off the top of my head.
