HankMarvin Posted 19 October 2009 Posted 19 October 2009 Milan Mandaric admits he is constantly looking at ways of improving Leicester's finances but has denied rumours a takeover is in the pipeline. Mandaric took over as owner in November 2006 with the aim of taking the club back into the Premier League - but the Foxes were relegated to League One in his first full season at the helm. Under new manager Nigel Pearson, Leicester returned to the Championship at the first time of asking and have made an impressive start to life back in the second tier. Mandaric is now eager to push for promotion to the top flight and knows a significant cash boost would improve their chances. "I have met a group of people but not to buy the club or invest - I am not looking to sell the club or anything like that," Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester. "It is to help us review our marketing possibilities, our international exposure and to raise money through the assets of the club. "We need to look at how to maximise the income of the club other than Milan Mandaric putting his hands in his pocket and I will keep doing that. I will always welcome someone who can come and contribute and be a positive support. "I am not searching for any investment but I am not going to rule it out. I am committed to be here for a long time and when I give my word I keep that word."
Zingari Posted 19 October 2009 Posted 19 October 2009 "We need to look at how to maximise the income of the club other than Milan Mandaric putting his hands in his pocket is he forgetting us ? <_<
Daggers Posted 19 October 2009 Posted 19 October 2009 "I am not searching for any investment but I am not going to rule it out. I am committed to be here for a long time and when I give my word I keep that word." Bollocks. You tried to sell it...then you tried to get them on board on the back of an investment...and both times they laughed at your valuation. You would disappear faster than Rik Flair up a drunk slapper's muff if anyone came close to meeting your price, you duplicitous toad.
Guest Posted 19 October 2009 Posted 19 October 2009 We need to look at how to maximise the income of the club other than Milan Mandaric putting his hands in his pocket What about buying Foxestalk and charging people who reply with just 'This' There's surely a fortune to be made there

Surely no-one expects the owner of a business to stop looking for ways to make more money? Milan "admits" he is looking to improve our finances - wow, what an admission! Did everyone think he was looking around for ways to make them worse?!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 You'll notice that, tellingly, he didn't mention anything about Edgar Davids...
lildave3 Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 Thought it said Mandaric denies FoxesTalk takeover for a minute. Got a little worried.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 M.M. will sell if the price is right. He came here with a three year plan, and if that is not met, will surely be looking for a buyer. Any offers?
Ozwin Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 Thought it said Mandaric denies FoxesTalk takeover for a minute. Got a little worried. I actually thought this.
foxoffderby Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 Last night I was coming out of the bar in the Keith Weller Lounge, there were some Americans in suits coming out of the Great Hall after a meal, one said to the other he was off to buy some jerseys. Maybe just a couple of tourists maybe potential investors I dont know.
