Flynny Posted 23 December 2009 Posted 23 December 2009 Only just got into Pains of Being Pure at Heart - sound like a cross between Belle and Sebastian and a slightly gentler J&MC, gorgeous stuff.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 23 December 2009 Posted 23 December 2009 Only just got into Pains of Being Pure at Heart - sound like a cross between Belle and Sebastian and a slightly gentler J&MC, gorgeous stuff. My mate has put them on a few times in Nottingham. Never got round to going along - will have to check them out one of these days. God Help The Girl is my favourite album of 2009. It's lush

Never got round to going along - will have to check them out one of these days.God Help The Girl is my favourite album of 2009. It's lush I definitely imagine you'd like 'em. GHTG next on my list, expecting to be knocked back in fairness given all I've heard.

Some of it is a bit understated and didn't grab me straightaway, but I love all the songs now. The one with Neil Hannon on is particularly ace, and all the lady singers have great voices, and quite are quite fit too, which is a bonus
StanSP Posted 23 December 2009 Posted 23 December 2009 Oasis have split up?! Yeah I don't remember either. I think if they were bigger it would have made headlines more.
