Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 November 2009 Share Posted 13 November 2009 Ready - Trey Songz. I like Say Aah a fair bit, as well as Successful. Kings and Queens by Jamie T has to be up there for me, alot of really good tracks on there, I do struggle to think of things on the spot though, there's probably a shed load of good stuff come out this year I just can't remember. General Smuts Posted 13 November 2009 Share Posted 13 November 2009 Joe is you haven't got it already get hold of the Filthy Dukes Fabric Live mix, you'll love it. <3 AlbumsThe XX - xx ****pony - Let The Love Flow Wavves - Wavves Major Lazer - Guns Dont Kill People Lazors Do Tracks In For The Kill - Skream Remix You Got The Love - The XX Remix Joy Orbison - Hyph Mngo White Denim - Lets Talk About It Pop Levi Police $ign Some top shouts there especially that Skream remix which is massive. For me though its all about Bombay Bicycle Club finally releasing an album and it being fooking A and Miike Snow coming from nowhere to bang out an immense album. EDIT: Forgot to mention Rostam Batmanglij and the Discovery album which is fantasmorgasmical.

Samilktray Posted 13 November 2009 Share Posted 13 November 2009 Tongue n Cheek would definitely be in my disappointments category, that was a massive letdown, my dissapointments... Tongue n Cheek - Dizzee Rascal (Horrible album) The Blueprint 3 - Jay-Z (Doesnt talk about anything on the album really). Cant really think of any others right now. Add, Before I Self Destruct - 50 Cent and Ghostdini Wizard Of Poetry In Emerald City - Ghostface Killah to my favourites of the year. 50 Cent surprised me with his album, hard content all the way through, and Ghostfaces album was just smooth as fuck. Maxwells new album was quality aswell, another smooth and chilled album. Rick Ross's album had some of the best production of the year for me too. As an aside I dont understand any of the hype surrounding Drake, bar about 2 songs (1 of which features others anyway) most of what hes put out is boring, and he cant rap to save his life, same rhyme schemes, and same boring delivery. Someones putting in alot of marketing money for him to be blowing up like he is.

Jonezy Posted 13 November 2009 Share Posted 13 November 2009 Haven't been so much into it this year, as I was last year, so 2009 feels like its missing a bit of the wow factor, Fleet Foxes, Kings of Leon and MGMT gave me last year. Still enjoyed albums by especially The XX, The Decemberists, The Maccabees and Fever Ray this year.

lildave3 Posted 30 November 2009 Share Posted 30 November 2009 ***Mainstream Alert*** Just had a quick glance through my iTunes, and picked out 40 of my favourite songs from 09. I hadn't intended to pick out 40, I was just picking out some songs I loved, and it came to 40 so that turned out nice. Only order they're in is the date they were added. I imagine i've missed something blatant and obvious, and I know that people will disagree entirely, but I was bored.
