Nottingham Forest Post-Match Thread

Can't believe this, no one ranting and raving yet!

Wait till the masses return from Forest, this board will be steaming.

Personally I feel that we have been in a false position for a few some time now, it needed a rude jolt to bring us down to earth.

Hopefully after todays performance the management realise that we need some width and pace in the team.

Milan needs to spend some money in January to try to strengthen the squad.

Top off my list would be a decent striker.

Gutted.

Ok so it was one game .. but the game that, lets face it, we all wanted to win. Conceding 5 just makes it worse. Can't see the point in pointing the finger of blame (except maybe at the ref...)

Still in 4th ... hopefully can stay there after thisafternoons results. Lets just hope we can pick ourselves up ready for Tuesday night!

Actually so angry, angry, angry.

Weale to slow. - new keeper please

Brown could have made that ball.

Berner looked unfit.

Fryatt to slow. - a better centre forward with geniune pace and power.

Howard past it.

Dyer not good enough. - Peter Halmosi?

We left on the 4th goal and the stewards said that we wasn't allowed to leave!

Disgraceful. We need to sort our selves out, we have been poor in recent weeks and playing against a better team showed it.

McKenna ran the midfield.

Barring the QPR game we have been hot and cold in games all season. Unfortunately today we were cold all afternoon, pretty much everyone today sounded like they had an off day, including the manager. Yes we haven't been great this season performance wise, but we've still looked better than or matched 95% of the teams we've played.

It's bitterly disappointing today, more so because it's a local rival. We're still fourth though and but for a last minute goal last week we'd still be above forest. We'd all have taken that at the beginning of the season if it was offered.

The teams above us have expensively assembled teams, as I mentioned in the match thread all three of them have one player in their team who cost about as much as our whole starting 11. With a bit more financial backing in January we could still be in with a real chance of achieving something this year.

What we're doing this season is still a massive achievement considering the drama of the previous 5.

i'm glad Pearson is being honest and not making any excuses

Yeah, no pussyfooting around it by him at all. He made no excuses. He was quite honest. As always.

The reaction on Tuesday is hugely important.

I was going through the Forest squad pre-match, and they have some right expensive players in their team. Compared to what we have spent and what they have spent, we have absolute no right in mingling it at the top.

We are a good side as it is, but we honestly are only about 2-3 players away from being a top notch team.

What did he say?

Everything that has been said on here; the better team won by a mile, poor performance all around, it's his team and it's his responsibility, he's looking for a reaction on Tuesday night etc etc.

Generic management talk then :D

Did he say "it's a game of two halves" and "it's a marathon not a sprint" too?

Hah. :D

Tbh, he couldn't have said anything differently. And when Stringer asked about the refs performance, he refused to talk about it.

Leicester are back in training tomorrow. Brown says it's the first time they've trained on a sunday since he's been at Leicester.

I amazed how calm you all are.

We've been improving every week and confidence was high after the Donny match. We've been threatening to give someone a hiding for a while now but haven't been able to keep up the tempo for 90 minutes. 45 against Derby and then look what happened.

Fortunately today we did manage 90 mins.

Good.

And they should have been forced to pay the fans back with their wages like Wigan players did, and been forced to run back to Leicester from Nottingham.
