Uncle Albert Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 What a win! My old man will not stop smiling the bastard. I dont know what I was more surprised at to be honest the scoreline, a penalty at Old Trafford or the sending off of Vidic? Tough one. But what a performance by Liverpool today they were truely magnificent, United looked the better team in the first 25 minutes and got a goal which I still think wasnt a penalty but after that Liverpool were awesome. Mascherano, Torres and Gerrard were superb.
purpleronnie Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Glad liverpool won makes the prem a little more interesting....a little.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 He gets the ball he scores again..... FER-NAN-DO TORRES LIVERPOOL'S NUMBER NINE!!!
fox123 Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Gotta say when Torres and Gerrard play together, Liverpool are fucking awesome.
Tevez Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 its not a 'lets all bum liverpool' thread Keep your pecker up.
Raj Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Liverpool are back!!! Just proves the fcukers can beat Man U,Real Madrid but aint got it in em to beat the likes of Stoke home and way. Thats why they will never win the League!!! Big time Charlies!! WAN KERS!!!
SystonFox Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 alot of hatred for liverpool here??? maybe it is jealousy or something but they are my 2nd team (alot of people dont agree with having a 2nd team but i dont give a hoot) fantastic performance against madrid and took chances against man utd when usually things dont go for you at OT. united were the better attacking team i grant them that but liverpool ground it out and just about deserve it, scoreline flatters them though. the trophy is still uniteds but 2nd isnt so bad if the reds can grab a 6th european cup in the olympic stadium AGAIN.
Corky Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 I bet they are now regretting those home draws against West Ham, Fulham, Stoke, Hull, considering they've done the double over both Man Utd and Chelsea. If they win their remaining matches they have a chance.
Tilley Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 4-1 at Old Trafford, what a result! Love seeing Man Utd & Fergie in particular losing, love it.
Filbert_Ross Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 maybe it is jealousy or something but they are my 2nd team (alot of people dont agree with having a 2nd team but i dont give a hoot) how old are you, 11?
syston_fox Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Did I read earlier that Fergie insisted that Man Utd were the better team in the game yesterday???
Fox92 Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 They look rubbish and they have just looked rubbish against Reading. Sack Rafa?
Anish Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Keep Rafa. It's hilarious how rubbish they've become.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I can see Rafa getting the sack before too long to be honest. How long can a man dine out on an actually pretty fortuitous Champions League title? Their impressive European form aside, Benitez hasn't been a great manager by Liverpool's standards. They haven't been close to winning a title and probably never will while he's in charge. I can see the job appealing to Mourinho with his sense of mischief and desire to piss off Ferguson, which would make the league far more interesting. Liverpool really should consider letting Benitez go if they're going to win anything else in the near future.
Finnegan Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 They look rubbish and they have just looked rubbish against Reading.Sack Rafa? Why Jack Collison?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 I don't think Benitez is a clueless manager by any means, however I think the game in England, the trouble behind the scenes at the club as it were, as well as the British media, the pressure to win the Premier League, and the mind games of other managers (most notably Ferguson), has got to him over time. This season they just haven't been good enough, last season he had his little rant, for the past few seasons now his reputation has just been battered by his inability to keep his cool. The majority of his transfer dealings have been below par to say the least, there's probably a long list of expensive failures that never acheived anything of note while there. Fernando Morientes, Mark Gonzalez, Lucas, Albert Riera, Ryan Babel, Robbie Keane, Andrea Dossena, just off the top of my head. In Europe, for the most part, he knows his stuff, but he can't cope in England. Liverpool should be looking at the likes of Mourinho et al if they want that elusive Premier League title, this season they'll be lucky to finish in a Champions League spot.
