suffolk fox Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Heard from a reliable source that Fryatts illness was in-fact negotiations with Wigan, app he is set for a £4 million pound move and Newcastle could well be his last game. Sorry but fook me!!!!!!
stivesfox Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 I dont think at this late stage any business of Fryatt leaving Leicester City will materialise, as much as I dont think we will get any players in. I do however think if fryatt hits the magic 20 then summer transfer window business of teams to sign him will happen and pretty much a lot will be down to how we perform or where we end up come the end of season. The clubs who Fryatt is linked with are not exactly blessed with Mega Riches, Wigan have spent £7million on some Spaniard, and as for Hull City well Fryatt would look at that as a backward step as they will be in our division next season. The only club with spending power that could afford Fryatt would be Birmingham but they are looking at Sweaty Socks League for their striker Hes going no where.
Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Hes going no where. Don't put your house on it.
Bert Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Don't put your house on it. There's more chance that he'll be staying than going right now.
Walshy5 Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Ive never been a fryatt fan but i wouldnt want to lose him now purely because there wouldnt be enough time to get in a decent replacement and we,d probablly end up getting a panic buy.
Tilley Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 I don't want to sell Fryatt for two reasons; 1) If we sold him for £4 million, Pearson wouldn't even see a million of that. 2) If Fryatt left, we'd be left with Howard, Kermorgant, Waghorn and Gallagher, wooo

davieG Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 If we've no intention of making a serious attempt at the play-offs or don't feel we can achieve them yet feel we're safe from relegation then now, from a purely business perspective is a good time to sell after all it's a sellers market and as we are all continually reminded on here Mandaric is a businessman
leftsideoverhere Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Heard from a reliable source that Fryatts illness was in-fact negotiations with Wigan, app he is set for a £4 million pound move and Newcastle could well be his last game. Negotiations which meant he could only sit on the bench? How does that work? I've heard of players being left out of a squad altogether because of transfer speculation or negotiations, but a player being benched and then coming on for the last eight minutes because of transfer talks just makes zero sense.

We live in a cynical world, a cynical, cynical world, and Fryatt works in a business of tough competitors. He sat on the bench to make important phone-calls, after he'd finished Pearson put him straight on. Oh btw... I love you. You complete me.

Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 There's more chance that he'll be staying than going right now. Only down to the shifting of focii due to humming and harring. He had two good chats recently. I suspect you're right that those boats have sailed - but I'd not be surprised to see him be bounced to a Championship side at a substantially reduced figure to those previously mentioned - and he is very happy to consider promotion candidates (which we aren't, in his book).

mmarkie Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 So what your saying then is he is going,so where West Brom I suspect.
caz05 Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 West Brom I suspect. well thats peed me right off
Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 So what your saying then is he is going,so where In short, I don't know. And from what I know neither does Matt at the moment because the ball is squarely in Mandaric's court. He was set to move having held discussions with the blessing of the club. Mandaric dithered, for whatever reason, and circumstances moved on. The prospective move to a Championship side now is simply my conjecture. Mine and "the bloke I know".

What i dont understand is if he wanted to go why not last season when there were offers, and why another champ club, nothing is set in stone to who will go up

richardsfoxes Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Sounds stupid to me, not only would Milan have contradicted himself, he'd surely expect a backlash from the fans if he was sold to a championship club.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Our reliable website Football Rumours had several beans of joy yesterday, including: - Fryatt to Wigan for £2.5m with Ben Watson coming the other way, with Tommy Smith coming from Portsmouth for £1m - Fryatt to Wigan for £2.5m with Jason Koumas and Jason Scotland coming to us (Koumas loan) - A second report of Fryatt to Wigan with Watson coming the other way, and £2.5m But the best, and the one which made me laugh, was this little chestnut... - Wayne Brown to Middlesbrough for £5m Someone's dreaming
