The reason Forest are attracting so many quality players is down to the fact that they play attacking one touch football which most players want to be involved in.

Fair enough that will be part of the reason. But Nicky Shorey had offers from several clubs as did Dexter Blackstock.

Yeah and it was the money which could have swayed them?

Forest dont have the money to be offering mega wages. They have no parachute payments and they dont have a massive stadium generating income.

The money may be better or may be the same, there really is no way of knowing. All i'm saying is, if I was a quality striker and I had the opportunity of going to Forest or Leicester, I can't see any reason why anyone would choose us.

No, but Forest do have an owner in Nigel Doughty, who has just a little less than Milan in the bank, but is a born and bred Forest fan and is putting his own money in for the signings.

They have spent around 10mil in the last two years, so really if they were not in the top 2 it would be classed as failure imo.

Just thought id pop it here, cos i saw it.

Should Rodellega move on, the Wigan manager Roberto Martínez will attempt to lure the Leicester striker Matty Fryatt or his Celtic equivalent Scott McDonald to the DW Stadium in his stead.

Leicester City owner Milan Mandaric has vowed he will not cash in on the club's best players.

Mandaric insists prize assets such as leading scorer Matty Fryatt, defender Jack Hobbs and goalkeeper Chris Weale would not be sold, and he has pledged to fund any January signings out of his own pocket if manager Nigel Pearson identifies a top transfer target.

sounds postive, strong words hope its true

Lets hope so. Would be good to add quality to the squad rather than lose it but if the negative posts are to be believed on here it is all bullshit. We will wait and see with baited breath although one or two people may well have to eat humble pie if a couple of quality players come in and none of the better players leave.

Wigan Athletic are planning a £5million bid for Mallorca striker Ariz Aduriz.

From The Sun.

I enjoy how the entire British press spelt his name wrong, sloppy cvnts. This geezer is fire though, much better signing if they can get him.

how about the fact that, in recent history (last decade or so), we are arguably the more successful team (more seasons in the prem, more european campaigns, more trophies won and less time spent below the second division)?

If I was a player, I wouldn't even think about that. Forest are going in the right direction, as are we, It's just at this moment in time you would say that forest are the team that are more likely to be playing in the premiership next season, therefore making them more attractive to players.

Gotta agree here...

Surely this isn't a wise statement for someone just charged with tax avoision? Although I suppose if he puts this money into the club (as a loan no doubt) he'd have no physical cash the taxman could get his hands on!

Interesting that he's named the three too though. Surely this is just talking the price up rather than a hands off?
