Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Have to say I'm glad he didnt go though I'm not his biggest fan!
Bert Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 I find it hard for anyone to be close to leaving the club when there's not even been any offers in for him.
Matt Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 I find it hard for anyone to be close to leaving the club when there's not even been any offers in for him. But Daggers was so sure...
mmarkie Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 I find it hard for anyone to be close to leaving the club when there's not even been any offers in for him. Did you know who the second loan signing was going to be mate?
Tony Pine Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 matty will start scoring again now the window is closed
Edwards-lcfcfan Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Fryatt is a foxes legend, must say, pearson shuld not let him go this summer, especialy if u get promoted
Bert Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Fryatt is a foxes legend, must say, pearson shuld not let him go this summer, especialy if u get promoted I wonder what Izzet, Walsh, Lineker etc would have to say about this statement.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 I wonder what Izzet, Walsh, Lineker etc would have to say about this statement. Looking at the new lad's other post, I imagine he's not aware of these past Leicester Legends - Lineker, isn't he the bloke that does match of the day?
Edwards-lcfcfan Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 I know who lineker is haha fkn ha, im still stickin that he is a legen tho
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 I know who lineker is haha fkn ha, im still stickin that he is a legen tho Legend? We havent had a 'legend' player in a long while. Fryatt will always be considered a good player for us but he has a fair way to go before he becomes a legend.
Matt Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 I forget which thread now but I saw someone saying the other day Fryatt was one of the best players he's seen play for us while he had supported Leicester and i'm sure it said he'd supported us since something like 2000 in his profile bit at the side of the posts, Can't be sure, but I could have sworn I saw someone write that the other day. I mean I know over the last few years we've had some shite, but Izzet, Taggart, Lennon and co we're still playing for us in 2000, albeit towards the end of their LCFC career. Crazy.
sbfox Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Compare Fryatt to Weller, Worthington and even our modern heroes, Lineker, Lennon, Walshy and Elliot and you'll see he's not (yet) a legend! You never know though, I genuinely think he's improved year on year, and he seems like quite a grounded bloke, maybe he'll stay with us and continue banging the goals in?
surrifox Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 he seems to have been around a long time- the last of the Levien (or possibly Kelly) signings
foxoffderby Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Words like legend are far too easily used these days. Fryatt has potentail to be whatever he wants to be in the game but its early days yet. World class is another one which anyones me, why is everybody in the prem world class these days? To me world class means Pele Maradonna Bobby Charlton Best etc not because a player has played for his country a few times and has once scored 20 goals in a season.
Jimmy Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 he seems to have been around a long time- the last of the Levien (or possibly Kelly) signings our longest serving 1st teamers (from when they debuted not when they signed) are Ashley Chambers, Levi Porter and Matty Fryatt
Uncle Monty Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 our longest serving 1st teamers (from when they debuted not when they signed) are Ashley Chambers, Levi Porter and Matty Fryatt Quite shocking really. I was thinking about this the other day. We haven't had anyone on our books for 4 years + for a while, but then again we haven't had anyone of considerable talent for a while..
Hitesh Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Quite shocking really. I was thinking about this the other day. We haven't had anyone on our books for 4 years + for a while, but then again we haven't had anyone of considerable talent for a while.. And we haven't had a manager stay for a considerable while!
Edwards-lcfcfan Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 fine fryatt to me is still a gud player, Pearson'll stay for a long while
lcfc_sam_p Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Fryatt is a foxes legend, must say, pearson shuld not let him go this summer, especialy if u get promoted hes hardly a legend. he scored plenty of goals last year but that was in league one. hes doing ok this season, but our top striker will have to be better than ok before we think about going up. fryatt will have to be more consistent, he seems to get his goals in patches. still on course to get 20+ for the season though which would be a good return.
