Football: Played at Filbert Street in a Junior Euro 96 tournament for Switzerland, we were shite but Kevin Poole gave us all a certificate at the end which compensated for it no end. Also played charity games at Layer Road (ridiculously bad facilities but that's why I loved it) where I missed the decisive pen in the shootout, and Carrow Road where I was hungover as fuck for a 1 p.m. kickoff on a sweltering Cup final day last year. All I can say is thank christ that a) I was captain/manager of my team (Welshman's Hat FC by the way :D ) and b) It was rolling subs. Also picked up my first assist at a league football ground in that game.

Hopefully arranging another charity game for this coming spring at Upton Park. :fc:

Cricket: Grace Road, although the nicest ground I've played on is The Saffrons at Eastbourne (which was regularly used by Sussex until a couple of years ago I think).

Bescot Stadium in Walsall on the day of the Chelsea Boro FA Cup final (we watched it in one of the private boxes at the ground)

I set up Louis Dodds for a goal and we both had our names read out over the tannoy. Was epic and we won.

Did you used to play for the youth team?

Mini League was played at half time during AFL games, the teams were selected from primary (5 - 12 year old) schools within the AFL sides Selection Zone, the games are 2 x 7 minute halves and are played across the centre of the oval.

Mini League (now called auskick and much more crap :( )

Excellent! I love the one at 1.42

I also love how some of them use someones back to dig their studs in and get a higher jump! Looks like a very tough sport
