sounds like the better team won.

i can't understand why pearson made changes to the attack, the midfield and the defence

Weren't you the one calling for Howard to be dropped for Kermogant?

Anywho playing away from home against a team 1 place below it shouldn't be any surprise that we lose, no need for any knee jerk reaction yet(which tbf very few people on here have yet).

I am fooking pissed oof. I'm sorry but if we are going to do anything this season we need to start scoring and fast.

Why did Kermo play instead of Howard who has been our best player since that Wednesday game? If Howard isnt going to start why the fook does Kermo come ahead of Waggy who was previously in-form?

Need to play wingers from now on and sort out the goals scoring options.

As I said last week, teams will suss us out before too long and our predictability is making it easier to do so.

It's a shame at the moment because if we could get in 2 or 3 players with a bit of pace and imagination we could get ourselves into the playoffs without a problem.

As it is, we'll huff and puff and rely on other results to go for us.

Couldnt agree more. Give N'Guessan and/or Gradel a chance on the wings, drop Oakley or Wellens and have a go from there. We have a big bloke up front in Howard and when was the last time there were balls into the box from crosses for him to have a go at? Never and there never will be with Oakley on the right.

The amount of times i heard Stringer say earlier,

"Just needs to be a cross now... Poor Cross."

Didn't go today, but listened on the radio. Felt a bit sorry for Matty Fryatt today seemed to have nothing to thrive off. Think is going to be a difficult second half of the season. Will keep my hopes up for the play offs but i think we need to acquire a few new faces. But tried and tested new faces.

Couldn't agree more, our final ball has been terrible, it was against ipswich too! When we brought Gallagher i was told he was a dead ball specialist, but whenever i've seen him take a corner it hasn't beaten the first man. Very Poor.

Our corners today were poor today too, they either didn't beat the first man or they were too long. It makes me wonder whether they actually practise corners in training.

They train long throw ins. I hear some guy called Robbie Neilson's an ace at it ;)

Actually contemplating whether Neilson's throwins could have done us a favour today. Maybe got the ball into the box abit more?

Think anything would be better than our corners!! Maybe he might have helped us get a goal, but i think he might of helped us concede 3 up against that Nathan Dyer, He looks like he's running in sand at the best of times!

From cvnts that were actually at the game (their cvnts.)

Yeah we did well in the first half and they never really got going. Second half Howard and Waghorn caused us a few problems, N'Guessan should have scored, but other than that and Dorus tipping over that cross, they didn't really threaten us. Worked very hard closing us down though and forced us into loads of misatkes.
You can see why Leicester are were they are. Strong and they put alot of pressure on the oppo.
Good win against an organised strong and physical side
Excellent clean sheet mind, they'd scored in their previous 12 matches and that's the first time since August that they haven't scored away from home
we were far too sloppy, but they worked very, very, very hard.

At least they tried eh.

We have a severely unbalanced squad which lies at the heart of the problem

Goalies we're okay

Right back with Neilson (though yet to meet the standard), Morrison (though out of position) and O'Neill we're okay-ish

Left back Bruno is good though ageing and susceptible to pace and injury) McGivern is no replacement

Centre back without Tunch we're seriously lacking a ball player out of defence and cover Hobbs, Brown are both sort of up to it, ditto Morrison

But in midfield we are desperately short - there's King, Oakley and Wellens who at times have shown they can do it at this level but literally no-one else behind them. All three play most matches and can only be replaced by someone playing out of position..

We have a series of wingers - even though the manager seems to want to play without wingers - Dyer okay but lacking true Championshio class, N'Guessan who lacks Chamionship consistency, Gradel and Adams both of whom the manager patently doesn't like - even though they have been effective at times

And then up front - we have an avalanche of players but how are they supposed to fit together? Howard and Fryatt is the best partnership but we end up playing primitive football. It's hard to detect any point at all in Kermorgann - a striker who doesn't score. Gallagher doesn't seem to fit with anyone else and he's played out of position. Waghorn is inconsistent and doesn't seem to have a natural strike partner. DJ is out of favour etc etc It's as though the squad has been assembled on an impulsive spending spree - not carefully assembled to fit in with a style of play or indeed one another...

Having decent players in most positions got us through last season - this we need fluencey and a genuine method of play and NFP simply hasn't found a viable one..

It's amazing to see the contrast between our fans and theirs. It also goes to show how little understanding of the game you actually get from listening to the radio.

Will be interesting to hear from those that went to the game.

Word. At the end of the day, the radio is just one man's opinion of the game. It's almost laughable the in depth match reports some people give after spending the afternoon in their living room with the wireless.

Just today?

They've been poor for the past season and half (As a team on the up).

Er, I did go to the game and my comments are on page 2 or 3.

For the record, we had no fight or effort in the first half. They were playing keep-ball for fun and we just sat back and let them run rings around us.

The second half was an improvement - we saw some fighting spirit and passion and we put a lot more pressure on them. We hardly created anything though and didn't even manage a shot on target. Trust me, a lot of the people that went thought it was a terrible performance.

Having been to the game (waiting for the train back at the mo), my thoughts are:

1. the first half was a disgrace - no passion, no fight and no quality. We barely struck two passes together before hoofing it long (to the ineffective Kermorgant who won the square root of f.. all). We made Swansea look like Brazil with the amount of time and space we gave them, not to mention the fact that nobody made a tackle. Morrison contained Nathan Dyer on the right but as soon as Dyer switched to the left he beat McGivern for fun and set up the Swansea goal - which had been coming for a while and was completely deserved.

2. the second half we showed much more fight and desire but still lacked quality. Waghorn made a big impact and went on a tremendous run which resulted in him being hacked down for a clear penalty which the ref waved away. Other than that, we didn't look like scoring and even our closest effort on goal was a Gallagher CROSS which he miscued.

3. the midfield was a shambles. King went back into his invisible mode again and Oakley tried but failed to pick out his passes most of the time. Dyer looked out of his depth and Gallagher is not a bloody right midfielder. Pearson's obssession with playing players out of position is really starting to rile me. Swansea's midfield completely overran us and showed us how to pass and move - with pace. Something which we don't have with the likes of Gallagher, King, Oakley and Howard/Yann in our team.

4. McGivern is a liability. He was skinned so many times today and this led to Swansea's goal. No wonder there were chants of "Bruno Bruno" and "Send him back" every time he f**ked up.

On this showing Pearson needs to buck up his ideas. We may be able to scrape past the likes of Plymouth and co with an imbalanced midfield but against the better teams we're found out.

Oh, and although Fryatt wasn't at his best today I really feel sorry for the lad. If he was in Swansea's team today he would have scored a hatful - the number of times they pinged the ball across our goal but he nobody to tap the ball in was almost comical. On the other side, Fryatt was just chasing hoofs and the service to him was dreadful.

Anish, Sounds just like many games this season, Pearson only knows one way to play in this league and thats to hump aimless balls up to Howard, take Howard out of the team (as he has done afew times) and the team just fall's apart (literally). Pearson has MAJOR tactical issues.

:sweating: :sweating: :sweating:

Yeah, and that's gonna increase his confidence, how?
