Collymore Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 Bent is a very good player, he may not be prolific, but he knows how to play football. I remember him scoring in the 2-2 against Bolton at the reebok, world class finish.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 Bent is a very good player, he may not be prolific, but he knows how to play football. I remember him scoring in the 2-2 against Bolton at the reebok, world class finish. Keeper error that was but great finish! Think his best goal was with the outside of the foot against Chartlon at the Valley the relegation game.
DB11 Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 All I can remember is he scored in the last minute at home to Everton to snatch a 1-1 draw. I liked him
Lester LXXIV Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 I'll never forget that game as we were sat behind 2 Everton fans who decided to sit in our end!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 DJ is scoring and playing better now though Marcus Bent is a better player than DJ Campbell. Might be a different type of striker but there is no doubt Marcus Bent is better. I think it's worth a punt.
[email protected] Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 I have very fond memories of this dude.
rico Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 one of the best players we had in that relegation season
Foxhateram Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 I remember the game VS Aresenal in that premiership season he played for us. The bloke stumbled on the ball which subsequently rolled away from him. However he didn't lose possesion, he crawled along the floor like a dog with woms, won the ball back, and shifted it to Dickov who nearly scored. Legendary bloke, never stops! I truely beleive he will be a good signing he we get him. Hard working, winning mentality and he will pass his knowledge on to fryatt and waggy who will both benefit dearly from his presence. Not only that we will benefit from his heading ability and pace(if hes still got it). One of the few players left in english football that can head, tackle, run at players with pace and still hold the ball up well. Normally pace = no footballing brain for some reason. I wish people would learn that a strikers job is not solely to score goals. Just because you dont score 20+ a season does not mean you are a bad striker. A good striker will hold the ball up well, head the ball on well, have strength and ability to run at defences. Scoring is just one attribute. Marcus has the rest maybe he doesnt have the boots to score 20+ but he has the ability to set up 20+. If both strikers on the pitch were always solely there to score goals then they would both bump into eachother while trying to put the ball in the net. just something to think about there.
Sods Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 The lad showed great effort when he was with us last, however he dosen't score goals.
Corky Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 I liked him when he played for us, showed some quality. His goal at Charlton was superb.

Geo V Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 there are other clubs than Birmingham - we should also consider non-W.Midlands clubs' rejects Im trying to think of the class Brum players we have taken in the last few seasons and why we would want anymore of their rejects. DJ and Clem and thats enough FFS!!
Spiritwalker Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 If you can name one professional footballer who hasn't I'll give you £5 Peter Beardsly
