Ozwin Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Sort it out City, this is the signing I want the most.
Babylon Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Bloody Pearson mucking about with people like solano, just hurry up and force the bloke to sign.
Jon the Hat Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Bloody Pearson mucking about with people like solano, just hurry up and force the bloke to sign. I cannot understand why Pearson has not resorted to kidnapping to get this sorted. It is the only way.
dandannieldanok Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Sort it out City, this is the signing I want the most. Really? It's hardly a signing to set the pulse racing.
Ozwin Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 We barely have any defenders and considering he can play RB and CB it's like signing two players. Solano was a good signing for our right side and Taylor would be too. We all know Nielson isn't cut out for this league, not bashing the bloke but it's true, so it's good to see Pearson addressing the issue.

I've seen him play live a few times and I hate to break it to you but if you think he's going to be any better than Neilson at right-back then I personally believe you'll be immensely disappointed. There are cruise liners faster and more agile than Martin Taylor. From what I've seen both live and on the tv, the guy is just another Wayne Brown. If we do sign him, I really really hope I'm wrong and you and everyone else is right.
dandannieldanok Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Are you ever happy? Not often ...but seriously I won't feign excitement at the prospect of Martin Taylor even if it continues to makes me look miserable. Especially as it sounds like neither the club or the player seem really dead-set on a striking a deal, transfers like this aren't that complex and shouldn't need to drag on if both parties are happy. If he comes and plays really well I'll be one of the first to praise him, but I don't see him being an improvement on what we've already got.

Vlad The Impaler Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 He's like Tunchev, probabaly not as good but good enough.
WhoDey Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 He is more of a footballer than brown, better on the ball passes better too. Trivia Teaser Q: Can you name any current Leicester player/loanee who doesn't pass as well as Wayne "Hoof" Brown? (see below for answer) A: Ryan McGivern And I'm not really bashing Brown either before you start. He's an absolute rock at the back which is more than you can say about a certain peroxide blond loanee.
dpjfox Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Trivia TeaserQ: Can you name any current Leicester player/loanee who doesn't pass as well as Wayne "Hoof" Brown? (see below for answer) Weekend rumours suggested Newcastle were in for him (because proposed Williamson deal has collapsed), that deal appears back on again so hopfully Taylor will sign for us (loan or permanant) prefer latter A: Ryan McGivern And I'm not really bashing Brown either before you start. Nige was browsing this topic around 9pm last night and what happens? We pull out of the race to sign Taylor. I hope you know what you're doing dandan....
s2000 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 we are not interested anymore according to leicester mercury
Foxhateram Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I do not know why but i have a sneaky feeling Nige has something else up his sleeve and was using this deal as a distraction away from a different deal. I can see us signing maybe 1/2 loanees to fill the gaps in our sqaud, maybe nige has been working on this? who knows? or maybe just maybe Tunch is recovering faster then expected.

Yeah i could see NP bringing in a few more players. Another Midfielder that can pass the ball well would do me. Would of been nice to sign another defender.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 If the Mercury are right about the £12,000 a week, then I'm very glad we didn't follow up our interest. see what you've done now? If Nige is reading, I rate that Messi guy, Argentinian I think.
Toby or not Toby Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I eard/read somewhere that any players coming to the club since we have been promoted the maximum wage available is 10k, do if taylor wants more the I think its good that were not breaking that for a player.

Who know's but I would have thought we'd be paying more than that for Solano's services.
Simo86 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Who know's but I would have thought we'd be paying more than that for Solano's services. I doubt it, he's been playing in Peru and i don't think they'd been offering wages of 10k+
SMX11 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Who know's but I would have thought we'd be paying more than that for Solano's services. Im guessing Solano would be on about 3-6k per week.
