Finnegan Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 No you're right, I'm a genius because i'm well educated - glad you noticed It really doesn't show.
Babylon Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Firstly, if you you could highlight where exactly in my post I said that Pearson should be sacked I'd be extremely greatful. I am a big fan of Pearson's and certainly would not wish to see him go. Could you highlight where I said you'd said he should be sacked... oh that's right I didn't, I said you were one step away.
Ozwin Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Finnegan does it again. Close the topic now, nothing else needs to be said.
Salieri Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Waaaah, waaaah, waaaaaah, someone took the piss because I don't go to every game. I go to more games than you! Shut up, you listened to the Radio Commentary you're not a proper fan!WELL MY DAD'S BIGGER THAN YOUR DAD. Jesus. I'm full of hate today. It doesn't take attendance at every match and it certainly doesn't take a genius to work out we're over-performing in the league by most people's expectations. A vast majority of people have the common sense to see that Pearson, as a new manager on a shoestring budget, has done fantastically well so far. The football might not always be spectacular but it's been effective in terms of league position. Most people with a brain on here said anything about 15th and they'd be happy at the start of the year, lord almighty. I've sat behind some right thick-twat season ticket holders at the Walkers who couldn't tell a good show from a bad one and I've heard some thoroughly insightful and thoughtful comments from people who've only seen two or three games all year. Stick the elitism on a rod and screw it up your arse, you aren't a genius because you hold a season ticket. In a nutshell.
orangecity23 Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Perhaps a mod should change the title of this from bad week to bad thread Finners has pretty much nailed this one though. Spot on.
marbelladave Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 After the last few seasons I think anyone would have been happy to take a top half finish this season. At my most optimistic I thought that to be in with a shout of a playoff spot come april would be a fine achievement. A decent start to the season changed all that! We were not playing great and we were not that consistent yet we were consistently in the top 6 and at times looked like promotion was a real possibility. Some, myself included, felt that developing more of a passing game and getting more from our more creative players could, just possibly lift us into being genuine promotion candidates. It might not have been enough but we have not even made the effort, that's sad!
MPH Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Im disillusioned. not with Leicester City but with Foxes talk. I think i have had enough of stupid threads and stupid over reactions. Yes people are entitled to their opinions but that doesn't mean i have to like them or agree with them and quite frankly this website isn't a joy to come to come to right now... I cant seem to stop myself getting wound up by such annoying thick idiots. ( and that's my opinion and im entitled to it before anyone of the human rights police steps up) I wont be missed im sure.. maybe just a few days and i will of calmed down. maybe not.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Firstly, we sign another OAP past his best, I stopped reading or valuing anything else after this. How much Peruvian / Greek football have you managed to catch then? SHUT UP.
Koke Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 WELL MY DAD'S BIGGER THAN YOUR DAD. Means fuck all, considering I'm much bigger than you will ever be. Plus, my children will be bigger than your children - that's a forgone conclusion.
UrbanFox Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Think that's a bit harsh to be honest. People are entitled to an opinion and given our recent form and lack of ambition shown in the transfer market I think such views are justified. Surely no one can deny that performances of late have not been up to scratch. Every game we seem to make the same mistakes and fail to learn from them. From what I have seen in the last few weeks reading this board is that you are not allowed an opinion on here unless you are in a select group of people, who we should all follow and agree with! And God help you if you have a low post count!

And God help you if you have a low post count! Don't fret it.... Say what you think, it's only the interweb. Most of the 'smart' comments come from those whose only contributions is to try and put down others. Remember, just because some people appear to have a lot to say, it does not mean it is worth reading. These days most of the posts worth reading come from relatively new members, much of the old guard have become tired and boring and are, frankly, a waste of cyberspace. As for a low post count, stop smoking, ease off the beer and all will be well!

And God help you if you have a low post count! Nonsense... there are plenty of people on here who have differing opinions. People like Marbella Dave and Thracian have differing opinions to what you'd probably class as the "select group". Whilst I personally may not agree with everything they say (and will tell them so), there is 99% of the time something constructive to be taken from their critisism. They also offer their opinion in relevant or already open threads. The people you think are not being "allowed an opinion" are generally the idiots who feel it necessary to create a new thread every time they want to say something. Rather than using threads that already on the board. They are also the people who post along the lines of "we're f****** shit, Pearson don't know what he's doing, max gradel is god loooooooool".
Guest Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 you aren't a genius because you hold a season ticket. I was gonna see if mine would get me into Mensa
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Means fuck all, considering I'm much bigger than you will ever be. Plus, my children will be bigger than your children - that's a forgone conclusion. YEAH!? We'll you're a casp-...!

And God help you if you have a low post count! Sorry but thats rubbish......... Im still treated with the upmost contempt by all and sundry no matter how much my post count increases No in all seriousness if you make a sensible post it will be treated in a likewise fashion, post something stupid and ppl will react, no matter how big your post count is, why would anyone care anyway is beyond me to be honest?
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 People tell me I'm talking shit and I'm being some sort of insightful genius with about equal measure and they do so because of the merits of what I say, not because I've been on here for a few years. I mean look at Ultra - he's been on here since time began and STILL nobody gives a fuck what he's got to contribute. The post count elitism stuff is just a bollocks excuse used by the sort of people that come on here to post "<MANAGER> OUT!" threads and get miffed when they get told to do one.

Brainy Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Perhaps that and that they have no bollocks to stand up to you. I dont post as much anymore but the stuff I do read from you, you seem to be less of a dick than you used to be in all fairness.

lou Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Are you calling Lou a dick?!!! In fact Ive been called worse
maddog Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Cardiff are an average Championship side? TBH recently yes. They only managed to score 2 goals in 2 games against Bristol City in the cup, and one of them was an own goal. I watched both those matches and Cardiff were definitely average at best. Yet we manage to concede 4 against them in one game. But all we need is 1 sensational performance against hopefully Newcastle and we could end up going on a Forest type of unbeaten run. But we need a QPR away performance for a confidence boost. They also scored a ridiculous, spawny lucky deflected goal at Scunny to earn them a 1-1 draw, drew at home to Ipswich like us, lost that 4-0 lead at P'boro and lost at home to Plymouth the week before, so they have been well below average for the last month.
easilee Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Means fuck all, considering I'm much bigger than you will ever be. Plus, my children will be bigger than your children - that's a forgone conclusion. Kareem Abdul JOBBER!
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Kareem Abdul JOBBER! That would be a horrific love child.
lcfcadam Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Some people take into account where we have come from and what we have been like the last 5/6 years before rounding on the team and manager. There is constructive critisism and there is turning on the manager and being one step from calling for his head after a few bad results, which is exactly what your post was. As for Cardiff being an average championship team, what the hell do you think we are? You obviously got carried away earlier in the season being near the top of the league. I suggest perhaps you try not getting too carried away during good spells and then take the same attitude into bad spells (that every team has). I know what you're saying, but ask yourself: is what you're witnessing each matchday at the moment really that much different to the last 5/6 years? The table doesn't lie, and I'm afraid after what seems to have been a rather enjoyable honeymoon period we do seem to be sliding the wrong way. We could get relegated again and I still wouldn't say Pearson out, and I know he'll be as disappointed by the way the last few weeks have gone as us. But I am getting tired of trips like yesterday and S****horpe and, for different reasons, Forest, in addition to trudging into town to watch some really terrible home games, so feel a need to express frustration. Especially when I think the squad SHOULD BE good enough to maintain our start of season form...
