CosbehFox Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 I'd love to know the last time a flare caused major injury. Whilst we are at it, big flags too should be banned.
Joe. Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 Bloody hell Leicester944, this overreaction is pathetic. It's a flare for fucks sake, not bloody tear gas!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 Did anyone from the pro-flare side of the argument say anything about being Galatasaray? That was, I think, sarcasm. And as for "letting flares off all the time", one flare, at one game - and the last time was how many years ago? "Banned for life", "gas us all out", "struggling for breath"...? For fook's sake, get some perspective. What you'd have been like twenty years ago when people used to smoke while watching the game I dread to think. I have some perspective. Could you ever imagine what would happen if the west stand got flooded out with smoke from a flare? Pandemonium would be the word. Would be hilarious! We know what the stewards are like at Leicester. Just offering my opinion, I couldn't give two shits if you agree with me.

They'd start bringing their own salmon to smoke for their sarnies.
Matt Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 I'd love to know the last time a flare caused major injury.Whilst we are at it, big flags too should be banned. England flags are at Arsenal.
Poakey Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 I can understand both sides of the argument mate. And although it's for fun. I'd be with ttfn on this. People with flares hasn't been welcomed into English Football. I wouldn't welcome it at the Walkers. If someone in SK4 let a flare off, He'd get thrown out, Banned for life, And he'd never be able to support or buy tickets for the club he loves again. Would I be happy if someone let a flare off? It'd Gas us all out, people would be struggling for breath around C1 and C2. Mass Panic would ensue like a bomb's gone off. I'd rather just watch the football. As for thinking we're like "Galatasaray" is abit stupid. Why would we want to be some turkish side, where there fans are hooligans. If your up for letting flares off all the time, throwing stuff on the pitch, go to Turkey, and support them. As for 'Creating an atmosphere' It's more like creating a scene, and getting attention. It's moronic. I'm not a killjoy, Far from it, I love abit of fun, But aspiring to be like Turkish yob's is dreadful. What must you think of Leicester City? (Yet another opinion, I'll get e-screamed at) Get a fooking life!
Koke Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 I like how Galatasaray are the synonym of thugs and yobs.
dogadug Posted 6 February 2010 Posted 6 February 2010 It looked awesome. Don't understand why people moan about our atmosphere, and say 'they'd love to see a flare or something at our match', then when it happens, people moan about it.
Tommeh Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 The flare was absolutely fu cking brilliant, moment of the season for me. Hope there will be some decent pics knocking about.
Guest Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 It looked awesome. Did it fuck! It looked like what it was, someone setting light to an over sized sparkler in the dreary north west of England
Ozwin Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 It looked so bad but the fact someone brought it in just makes me laugh. I wish it was shown on the FL show.
lcfc_jme Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 Fucking brilliant and I'm absolutely delighted it went ahead. If anything, I'm a) disappointed I wasn't there to be involved and b) quite disappointed it appeared to only be one flare. More would have been even more fucking superb. Commendable effort on just the 1, anyhow. And for everyone that's moaning, I'm so seriously glad I don't live your lives. I can only imagine what your reactions would be were more flares let off or blue smoke bombs appeared to be used... **whistle** Played boys.
sbfox Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 The flare was absolutely fu cking brilliant, moment of the season for me.Hope there will be some decent pics knocking about. Whilst I don't mind flare(s) being set off, I dunno if I could ever call something like that a moment of the season (for myself anyway).
Shrenchel Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 Whilst I don't mind flare(s) being set off, I dunno if I could ever call something like that a moment of the season (for myself anyway). Inclined to agree, there's non-league clubs that do this every game and it's our fvcking moment of the season?! It's was really good to see and fair fvcking play to whoever risked the plod's long arm to get it done but maybe should be left for what it was. The inevitable 6 page thread of middle-aged killjoys bitching about it, lads ridiculously over-exaggerating how impressive it was and people baiting up the geezer involved is probably gunna take the shine off it.
SamL Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 The flare was absolutely fu cking brilliant, moment of the season for me.Hope there will be some decent pics knocking about. My sentiments exactly. I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about I'm honest, the flare went off right in front of me and I was undeterred by it. Nobody was injured by it so I don't see what all the fuss is about, people need to lighten up a little and see the funny side.
midfield Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 was nt there but sonds good guess this makes me a moron but we are all entitled to an opinion hope no one gets banned for it trying to create an atmosphere was it when the second goal went in if so quality fair play to you mate who ever you are
lou Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 I loved it and didnt see a single person who didnt. (well, apart from the Stewards)
Guest Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 Where's the 'meh' option for the poll? The choices are pretty much the opposing extremes with no middle ground
lou Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 Where's the 'meh' option for the poll? The choices are pretty much the opposing extremes with no middle ground Thats just the way we roll on here!
Guest Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 Thats just the way we roll on here! I want some middle of the road damn it!!
lou Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 I want some middle of the road damn it!! its fans like you thats ruining the whole matchday experience for the rest of us!!
Tilley Posted 7 February 2010 Posted 7 February 2010 "Bringing atmosphere back to life." I don't see how a flare makes the atmosphere so much better, like. Whoever set it off are lucky they didn't get caught because it is a bit of a pointless thing to get banned for.
