Quality idea from the person who ever did it ;) like a previous poster said shame it was only the one flare that went off!

Serious question here (cos I've never seen a flare at a ground except on youtube): Did the flare enhance the atmosphere by a significant enough amount to risk the chance of getting someone banned?

Yes.

Between our 2nd and when they scored the right 3rd of our support was brilliant although it was pretty darn good throughout anyway.

I can't believe people are describing it as 'moment of the season'!

We're sixth in a division we've just been promoted to and the your moment of the season is a moron letting off a glorified firework? Have you looked at the pitch this season or are just looking to see what 'mental' stuff somebody is going to do next?

Why the fook are we talking about Gala-fooking-tasary? We're not them, we know.

Yes, a flare was yet off.

Yes, it wasn't strictly legal.

Yes, judging by the radio and the stream, it did boost our support for a bit.

No, it probably won't be a regular occurrence.

No, it wasn't the best moment of the season (not saying its a bad thing, just.... it wasn't)

No, it doesn't deserve all this chat.

Can't we just move on? It was a pretty fun moment in the last 15 minutes of a game against Blackpool, that's pretty much the by and large of it, surely?

a) The original point wasn't that Galatasaray were thugs, it was a throwaway remark, but yes, I happen to think they are a thuggish club.

b) That's hardly an isolated incident.

Would you like any more?

I was in Istanbul on a night that Fenerbache won the league by beating Galatasaray, the celebrations in the city centre (outside my hotel) turned into a riot which destroyed the main shopping street and left loads injured. It was ok as an outsider but I was glad I wasn't Turkish that night.

Laughable how we are being compared with Galatasary.

Im coming into this thread to see if theres is any decent pictures, but don't think il enter it again.

IS it silly season?

Just lately, this whole forum has become a joke. Knee jerk reactions to dips and rises in form, flares in the crowd, verbal attacks on visiting fans and rumour starters - the average age on here seems to have dipped to Kindergarten level!!

I'm not wanting a boring forum, but FFS, so many very personal attacks on people!

Lets have a bit more respect on here, yeah?

Although I think it was quite funny at the time and thinking about it now it could have been quite dangerous too. We would moan like hell if someone did that at the Walkers, but like I say least it did add some more atmosphere and it was comedy watching the useless stewards.

Not all of us would.

I don't think we would moan tbh, we're one of the best clubs in terms of praising the oppositions fans if they're decent or make an effort because we know how drab The Walkers can be. I think most people would laugh it off.

I think it would be great as it was yesterday.

That's not what I said is it. This was just particularly pathetic.

1) There's a reason you're not allowed stuff like that in grounds

2) Just because it's different doesn't mean it's cool. In foreign countries they also sacrifice animals before games and throw scooters on the pitch. Doesn't make it cool.

1) Health and Safety gone to the extreme. IF you can prove it's actually dangerous then fair enough.

2) I seriously doubt that.

thought it was awesome!! Just what we need to create a bit of atmosphere. They cant be dangerous they save lives when people are in danger out at sea!!!! :)
