Sir Fynwy Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Great left peg! Only had a left peg, turning circle of a super tanker, I remember him taking the whole centre circle to make a 180 degree turn during one FNF match. If he could have developed even the slightest bit of ability with his right he may have had a longer career at a higher level.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 I am losing patience with this forum and especialy this thread. I realise its all about personal opinions but some of the names mentioned here as crap Leicester City players is ridiculous. Let me explain 1 Colin Gibson played for us in our promotion winning team under Brian Little and in the play off final victory against Derby that in itself is enough to keep him out of the 'crap' players list 2 David Lowe, were you not at the 4-4 comeback draw at Villa park, Lowe was a good player, played prem league for us and did not look out of place. 3 Colin Hill, have you ever seen Colin Hill play? A great servant for us. 4 Theo Zagorakis, part of the best City squad I can remember, not a regular but hey we had Lennon, Parker, Savage and Izzett, then became captain of a Euro Champ winning side, crap? I am wondering if some of the 'contributors' on here have ever seen these players play for city. There are numerous 'crap' players to choose how about De Vries, Benjamin, Philpott, Spearing, English, Rob Johnson, Lee Marshall etc etc etc

As you said its all about personal opinion i.e. I don't agree with you that Philpott was crap. But hey-ho...

I remember an Interview with Matt Elliott who also said how shite he was with Leicester which made it all the more remarkable about how well he played for Greece. It makes me wonder if you ever saw him play....
mikey54 Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Tommy English one of the worst ever - especially as we got him in exchange for Jim Melrose (who was also crap when he first joined). Alan Waddle Roger Davies
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Nicky Platenauer How dare you berate Wigston's 2nd finest postman! Oooh! Aaah! Plat-ah-neeer!
Guest Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Well some of those players mentioned above were pretty good. Pieman Fenton was clearly our worst
blueincornwall Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Tony Spearing.... went on to play for plymouth, and my mate recons he was good!!! OMG
blueincornwall Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Who was that other tall player of the early ninties, think we bought him from carlisle and he went on to birmingham city where if I remember right the fans paid his wages.... Whoever he was... he was pants tooo !
ta-fc Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Paul Fitzpatrick...thats him B@STARD!!!!! you just stole my thunder.... not to mention Scarey Carey and Jimm willis!!!!

It makes me wonder if you ever saw him play.... You're talking complete shit you fool. He went home back he was the Greece captain before he came to Leicester and he didn't play enough when he was here so he wanted regular football. Do you remember his goal for us against Man Utd at home where we lost 6-2? Seriously, calling players like Zagorakis, Brian Deane and Colin Hill shit makes me wonder how thick our fans really are.
samjohnson Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Akinbiyi... 1 good goal... Thats it... Waste of money Also Grahame Fenton... Shite...
Anish Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 Not going to explain myself twice ****face!! You didn't have your glasses on so you posted Izzet thinking he was Theo? So you somehow managed to read the text on google which said "Zagorakis" yet you didn't actually recognise that it was Muzzy Izzet, one of the finest (and most well known) midfielders in Leicester City's history.

You don't know how bad his eyes are? Hence the need for his glasses maybe, no?
Daggers Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 In other news: he was splendidly shite but I adore him for that display against Cov:
fatmando Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 First person who comes to my mind is Ade Akinbiyi. Ha, just noticed the threads called your 'favourite' crap ex-city player. For the record Ade was just crap!! Not my 'favourite' crap player, just complete fooking crap!!
Alexikokopops Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 B@STARD!!!!! you just stole my thunder.... not to mention Scarey Carey and Jimm willis!!!! Jimmi Willis was man of the match in the 1994 play off final. HERO. How did that team ever get promoted? In other news: he was splendidly shite but I adore him for that display against Cov: I remember being so excited about not only having wingers, but having good wingers. That display against Cov was lovely stuff.
EmLeee Posted 4 March 2010 Posted 4 March 2010 In other news: he was splendidly shite but I adore him for that display against Cov: I had my picture taken with him 11 times in about 3 months.
