maddog Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 We always beat Coventry at the Walkers, 5 wins from 5 against them since the stadium opened. In 11 meetings overall since 02/03 we've only lost to them once. Cardiff scored very late to beat them at the Ricoh last night, which puts them 10 points behind us, plus we have a game in hand. After another great win at Palace last night, a draw would do just fine at the Walkers now, we play Reading at home next Wednesday, one draw one win from these two would do me. We played out a 1-1 draw at their place, a Howard flick on allowed a Waghorn scorcher to cancel out Clingans free kick. Our position just seems to be getting better, we could actually afford to draw both these next home games or lose one win one and still be fine, of course it will be nice to win both. I'm not going to big up this game just because it's Coventry though, i couldn't care less who it is, every game is important, 3 points would be lovely. I expect the same side to be named, i still wouldn't mind Oakley being dropped but thats just personal preference. Looking forward to this one, looking forward to every home match now, lets hope we can impress live on the BBC. I fancy a 3-1 win, Waghorn, Gallagher and Dyer
davieG Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 I think this is more winnable than the Reading game who can't seem to do anything wrong at the moment.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 I think we'll edge it by the odd goal, 1-0 or 2-1 win.
jonthefox Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 its going to be a goal fest. 1-0 i reckon. And i bet the atmospheres nothing like the forest game. Rivals , my arse.
Sods Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 Big day out for them, both them and Reading will be thinking they can get something from the game and should attack us. Im as confident as all season right now, Gallagher will score.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 Coventry have gone on a ridiculous run of late but the Walkers has proved a tough place to come this season, with only West Brom, Preston and Bristol City leaving with all three points. Coventry have an appalling record at the Walkers with five defeats from five and no goals scored. This is a very winnable game in front of the BBC cameras in my opinion. Many tipped Coventry for relegation at the start of the season, and their current position is the result of a Blackpool-esque overachievement. The kind of team we should have the stomach to win if we have promotion aspirations, and I fancy us to do so. 2-1 City with goals from King and Waghorn for a third consecutive win.
Corky Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 Hopefully we'll make it six in a row. Will be tough, 2-1 win.

andyh1884 Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 They'll come for a point. Hopefully we'll have enough about us to break them down. 1-0 to us
ousefox Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 Can see us getting a draw on Sunday. We haven't lost at home since December and everybody is so confident so knowing City we will either have a dull 0-0 draw or win 5-0.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 2-1 to us. They take the lead then we have quite a turn around in the 2nd half and storm back to win. Really want to beat Cov scum.
easilee Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 its going to be a goal fest. 1-0 i reckon. And i bet the atmospheres nothing like the forest game. Rivals , my arse. I really mean to be picky here but doesn't goal fest mean more than 1, or even 2 ?
Ozwin Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 Looking forward to it, their fans will be up for us which'll hopefully get the Walkers going.

There are probably Horsfield's last Football League goals!
Sods Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 From where i live their are some right coventry bastards the proper hate us, would love to get one over them.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 As I think one of the players said, teams who come to PLAY against us and try to win we play well against. It's teams who play for the draw or counter attack well that we struggle against. I'm thinking they'll come to play and so we'll be able to break them down at the back. 2-0 Leicester.
FoxyPV Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Leicester 7 - 0 Coventry After we win we'll send them back to adult literacy classes to learn how to spell properly!!!
lou Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Oh God please let us win this..... life at work will be unbearable on Monday if we dont 2-0 to us Waggers and Gallagher
The Blur Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Fancy us to win We lost to one of our favourite teams that we always did well against ( Barnsley) so we need to keep a one favourable team in the pocket and that is Cov! A solid 2-0 win with Waggy and Wellens/Oakley breaking their duck
maddog Posted 18 March 2010 Author Posted 18 March 2010 0 votes out of 63 for lose that must be a first Supreme confidence supporting LCFC right now
Guest Mee-9 Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 0-0 draw. Whenever I say 0-0 draw we seem to win
George Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 They'll come for a point. Hopefully we'll have enough about us to break them down. 1-0 to us We won't come for the point, we will come to attack, weather it works or not is a different story. Our team Westwood Cranie Barnett Mcpake © Wood Baker Clingan Deegan Mcindoe/Bell Morrison Stead Prediction 1-1

Our team Westwood Cranie Barnett Mcpake © Wood Baker Clingan Deegan Mcindoe/Bell Morrison Stead Prediction 1-1 Well seeing as Coventry have lost on every occasion they have visited the Walkers, it's about time they got at least a draw. I reckon 2-2.
