Is it something to do with the fact his hand is above the clamp thingy? If not then it's a whoosh from me

Yeah - the clamp thing is a capo, used to help with barre chords - it holds down the strings on the fret where it's placed, and strumming them will play that note rather than the note of the open string. Shaping a chord above it will do nothing because that section of the guitar is effectively dead.

So...I'm typing in on Google to see when Melton Mowbray tip opens on a Sunday and it comes up with the suggested things. Well the second one down in bold is an intriguing thing to come up. Who has been searching that one?!! Haha

doubtful when he has put the capo on the 5th fret and is trying to play a G chord above the capo.....

 

You think he's trying to play a G chord? I think he is just grabbing it with his sausage fingers and pretending to play for a photo-opportunity
