Every European country is better? Come on.

I'm not the biggest fan of Britain but Spain is generally a shithole, haven't been to Portugal but that's basically the Wales to Spain's England so christ knows what that place is like

Then you've got all the shithole in the East that Asia don't want and Europe's been lumped with. Russia is European, and I'd rather live in a landfill site than there. Probably safer.

I wouldn't say Spain's a shithole. I like it, except for the torturing animals for entertainment thing.

I can think of arguments for why any western or northern European country might be better than Britain.

I'm thinking of eastern Europe, mainly. Can anyone name an eastern European nation that is better than Britain and why?

Image result for leicester ny

What was it like?

I've always wanted to do a 'world tour' of Leicesters. I know there's one in Massachusets and a small village in Sierra Leone.

I've not been to San Fransisco but the steepest street in the city is called "Filbert Street", so that's on my list.

There is one on a remote island nation in the Pacific called Leicester - I seem to recall it is one of four tiny islands in a tiny atoll - and everybody who lives there is a descendant of a man who hailed from Leicestershire.

There's no airport and a supply boat that calls every six months or so is the only way to get to and from, so be prepared for an extended vacation. lol

That said, it looks like an island paradise.

William Masters, originally thought to have come from Leicestershire, England, is now thought to have come from Gloucestershire, which might explain why his descendants now spell the name "Marsters" due to the Gloucestershire accent.

Tbf, hell of an interesting story anyway and the place looks stunning. Can think of worse places to spend a few weeks. :jawdrop:

I think my biggest concern is that the island has just two toilets to cater for a diet based on coconuts...

It's still a place called Leicester, though.

Makes you wonder why he named it that if he was from Gloucester.

I've driven through there too! It was dark by the time we reached there and the wife didn't want to stop - lest we get lynched!

Well blow me down.
