Ozwin Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 I saw Tunchev in the Shires about three weeks ago, shook his hand and had a chat. He was waiting for his family. I told him I was at Crystal Palace when he first injured his knee, and said what a nightmare it must have been for him to injure his knee again when he was about to return. He said he'd had three seperate injuries to his knee, not just two. Obviously I asked if he would be available for the start of next season, he said, himself, to me, not second hand through a friend of a friend, that he would be fit for pre-season training. I cannot think that aleksander would have said that to me if it wasn't true. Ain't it great to get some good news. Tunchev and Hobbs together, marvellous! He'll be like a new signing, this is fantastic news. Does he speak good english then?

Anything close to his best will be great... Brown out, Tunchev back, the things that dreams are made of...

fatmando Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 That's not a joke, Wayne confirmed and explained his vote for BNP, and then there was an altercation between him, Dyer, and Vaughan Powell was crazy After that difficult for Pearson to do a team with 3 clans just before the 1st leg 1- Pro Brown 2- Against Brown 3- Peaceful group I really do hope that group number 1 had just one person in it.
Guest Bilo Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 I really do hope that group number 1 had just one person in it. Without wanting to seem obtuse, it could be possible those defending Brown were defending his right to his views rather than his views themselves. It's a complex situation and it's up to Pearson and his management team to stop it wrecking team spirit in whatever way they can.
flanimal Posted 15 May 2010 Author Posted 15 May 2010 Tunchev speaks pretty good English. Hopefully he'll be back to how he was, complete quality. Amazing to think a player as good as Tunch could be bought for £400,000. Brown can go.

Jay Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 it seems to me it's not for his vote but more for the way in which he reacted and tried to justified it, no doubt offending half the team with some of his comments, which you can only imagine to be pretty offensive, disgusting and ignorant.
MPH Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Leicester-defender-Wayne-Brown-forced-to-apologise-to-squad-after-BNP-vote-row-article426215.html whatever happened to democracy.... banning people from joining based on their skin colour? They have only recently been forced to change this, there is nothing democratic about the BNP.
Guest Bilo Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 A back four of Morrison, Hobbs, Tunchev and Berner would be excellent in this division I must say. Couple of ball playing centre halves with Tunchev's ability to read the game as well as he does and a pair of full-backs as good going forward as they are defensively. We could become a very good footballing side with the right additions in midfield if that came off.
flanimal Posted 15 May 2010 Author Posted 15 May 2010 You'll still need backup for Tunch, I say we keep Brown for at least another season. No. Keeping him will cause too much tension. He's not that good anyway. He has to go. A team of players that hate each other is not a good thing.

I bet it's all sorted now. I rate Brown, I think he's a decent centre back. The centre back pairing of Hobbs and Brown was very good this year.

Players know what he's like now, they know what he thinks. I don't care if he's a good defender. If we had Messi in our team and he came out as a racist twat, I'd want him to be moved on.

Not really as simple as that though is it? It wreeks of another Unfair Dismissal claim ala Dennis Wise - Expect this time WB would actually have a case, unless he has actually been racist, 'bullied' someone, started a fight, punched someone if thats the case we have a case for sacking him, as for sacking him for voting BNP and causing anger by that well that's just freedom of speech, surely you cannot sack someone for that. Having said that i'm sure it's very different in football and there loophole's i.e - We pay the rest of his contract off and terminate his contract or he goes by mutual termination/consent.

I wonder how MM thinks of all this. He after all would of been years ago the kind of immigrant that Wayne Brown and the BNP would want out of this country.... I would not be suprised if he was paid off, even in full and told he has no future here. By voting BNP he is basically saying some of the coaches and players let alone our own chairman should not be in the country.
Flynny Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 He doesn't 'have to go' unless his teammates are completely unreconcilable to him. If he can win them back around he'll be fine. Pearson needs to let things cool off a bit and then get them together in a room. Presumably he won't get rid of Brown unless he has to, and even then we should be able to get a decent price for him if he goes on the transfer list.

I dont imagine many teams with even 1 black player, considering the 'lets kick racism out of football' campaign thats been going on these last few years would part with much money for a footballer who has voted for the BNP. also considering even the championships reliance on overseas players of any colour... i would be suprised if we get any offers at all for him. If this becomes common knowledge on other message boards then clubs risk alienating a percentage of their fans and any ethnic minorities that they are trying to attract to their clubs.. would be an own goal for them, me thinks...

Wise won his unfair dismissal because we messed it up when Micky Adams told him it would be a 2 week fine and then we decided to sack him, so two incompatible decision but basically on a technicality his offence was unquestionably an instant dismissal case.
Frenzied Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 If this is true, and it seems it might be, Brown must go. There is no way that justification can be made to team mates, possible future team mates, fans and the people of Leicester.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 I can't believe some people are saying, "Brown must go." Chances are it's probably been sorted now anyway. He's had a good season in my eyes, Maybe his distribution isn't the best, but he's a solid championship defender.

He's had a good season in my eyes, Maybe his distribution isn't the best, but he's a solid championship defender. Relationships are broken down. If it was a bit of handbags altercations, then they should just shake hands as men and move on. But it's a bit more than that. I like Brown as a player - a totally committed brick house who dies for the cause. But this sort of thing can disrupt our strong unity and togetherness and team spirit, and we don't want that. It's up to Pearson I guess, as to how he sees the situation.
