davieG Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 The non-white player seems a bit of a tit. Telling every non-white member of the squad about WB and getting them to go against him, then running crying to Pearson Don't take what's written as a fact!
okie fox Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 It's all Brown's fault. Gordon should have held the election after the playoffs!
Brainy Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Have a feeling the 'non-white player' could have been Dyer of Vaughan. ..really? my first guess was Alex Bruce.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 He sounds like a tit in this one version of the story. What's the likelihood of another version coming out from another random source saying Wayne Brown whacked on a white hood, set fire to a cross and chased Dyer and Vaughan to the nearest tree with a length of rope? It's all hearsay at the moment. This has just made me laugh out loud.
CosbehFox Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 So many rumours...there's even counter-rumours that Brown made similar actions at Hull and Colchester (in particular at ex City legend's brother). I don't know what to believe.
MPH Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 From Bentley's posted by an ex Radio Leicester now Talksport contributor. Just to add some balance to a rumour that's not been proved one way or the other. Of course there was an 'incident' but all or any of what's be posted could be bollocks so people shouldn't comment on it as if it's been proved. Even if this has any shred of truth to it, lets remember that this is just one person's opinion, who probably got it from someone who might or might not of been right there. Either way they will of only told their side of it to this person - this is probably a third or fourth person hand me down story / version of events. My point is we know there was an incident, yet we still do not know any facts - just one person's opinion - lets not jump on Vaughn or Brown's back. It might well of been just a joke - we dont know. Not excusing a poor taste joke but lets not lynch the guy until we know the FACTS.
Narborough_fox Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Anyone know who the non-white player is? I heard for a very UNRELIABLE source it was Powell! From my point of view it was a completely unnecessarily comment to make and if he made racists remarks as well as what he said about BNP (which everyone is suggesting) he should go!
Bert Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 I don't think it was any of the players that have been mentioned....
StanSP Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 I don't think it was any of the players that have been mentioned.... Levi Porter? Hence the release...
Salieri Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 I think it was Professor Plum, with a candlestick, in the billiard room.
Narborough_fox Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Barry Hayles We all dream of a team of barry Hayles!
lavrentis Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 We all dream of a team of barry Hayles! To be honest.............. I dont !
Narborough_fox Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 To be honest.............. I dont ! As long as he doesn't play in goal I do!
Ultra Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Bentley's is hardly a reliable source. I find it difficult to believe the PFA (chaired, lest we forget, by a certain Chris Powell) would allow one of its members to be hung out to dry in the tabloids on the basis of unsubstantiated allegations.
davieG Posted 20 May 2010 Posted 20 May 2010 Bentley's is hardly a reliable source. I find it difficult to believe the PFA (chaired, lest we forget, by a certain Chris Powell) would allow one of its members to be hung out to dry in the tabloids on the basis of unsubstantiated allegations. Well it's not directly from Bentley'sis it? It's from a guy who's an ex Radio Leicester Sports presenter and long time contributor to Talk Sports and is any unsubstantiated media/internet report reliable? As I said it was posted purely to provide some balance to the rumours going around.
goose2010 Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 offical statment by the club regarding Wayne brown....looks like he is staying at the minute! http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2059968,00.html
Houdini Logic Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 "In light of the recent alleged incident involving Wayne Brown, the club can confirm that an internal investigation is being undertaken. Wayne Brown remains a Leicester City player. If any Leicester City player is found liable of any wrongdoing, they will be dealt with in accordance to the internal procedures set out by Leicester City Football Club. Leicester City is proud of the strong commitment to its local and wider reaching communities, and it's involvement in a number of initiatives including the 'Kick It Out', 'Respect' and 'Every Player Counts' campaigns." Think it sounds fairly routine to be honest - if anything swaying towards him getting the boot...
Foxhateram Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 I am not sure but i swear this morning on the bbc website there was a story saying "PFA Chief Slams Brown" or something along those lines. It appears to have gone now though as i cant find it anywhere. It was on the Leicester homepage on the bbc website. Find this rather strange. Of course i may be just going lunie.

Foxhateram Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 could be phil brown and the ongoing "gardening leave" saga , Yer i didn't have a chance to read the story just saw the title. Strange that it was on the My club i.e. leicester section. Definitely not there anymore, weird.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 Leicester City defender Wayne Brown has been criticised by the Professional Football Association over his alleged comments which angered his team-mates ahead of the play-off semi-finals. Several national newspapers claimed Brown sparked a dressing-room row after he confessed he had voted for the British National Party in the general election. The Mercury reported that he had been sent home after an argument over politics. However, PFA deputy chief executive Bobby Barnes has spoken out on the association's official website and said he hoped it would be hard for Brown to either stay at Leicester or find another club. A report published on the website claimed Brown's alleged comments angered several of his team-mates, including PFA chairman and City player-coach Chris Powell. Barnes said Brown had set back the Association's anti-racism campaign, Kick it Out. The report also stated that Brown had admitted he had voted for the BNP and had been 'urged to make a public apology'. But Brown, who has been linked with a move to Notts County, has not spoken publicly about the issue. When asked if he thought it would be hard for Brown to stay at Leicester or find another club, Barnes said in the report: "I would like to think so. We have a zero-tolerance policy on issues like this. "Football has worked hard over the years to really be a beacon in the fight against racism, and it is very discouraging to hear these comments when you think of the tireless work so many people, and so many organisations, have put in to get to where we are today. "In my day as a player you had to contend with racist comments coming from the terraces, so for this to come from within a dressing room is very, very disappointing and our members are angry that Wayne Brown was not prepared to abide by our mission statement." When contacted by the Mercury after the event, PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor said: "Leicester City has the full support of the PFA in its handling of this situation. Leicester is a multi-cultural city and Leicester City is a multi-cultural team, and we take these allegations very seriously. "Leicester City will continue to receive our full backing in its investigation." In an official statement, City said: "In light of the recent alleged incident involving Wayne Brown, the club can confirm that an internal investigation is being undertaken. "Wayne Brown remains a Leicester City player. If any Leicester City player is found liable of any wrongdoing, they will be dealt with in accordance to the internal procedures set out by Leicester City Football Club. "Leicester City is proud of the strong commitment to its local and wider-reaching communities, and its involvement in a number of initiatives including the 'Kick It Out', 'Respect' and 'Every Player Counts' campaigns." From the Mercury! Not surprising that the PFA have said this with Powell as their chairman
Foxhateram Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 From the Mercury! Not surprising that the PFA have said this with Powell as their chairman Oh good, glad you found that as i thought i was going mad. Wonder why it was removed from the bbc website though.
BoneDog Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 "An internal investigation"? I hope Gerry Taggart is the chief inspector
