DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 The one point that is important, is that the billionaire knows all about the game, and controls a successful football club in Poland. It is not as though he doesn't know the pitfalls of the game, and as long as M.M. continued to be at the helm, it would be no bad thing. Still, there would be risk involved, but one can always say that about any new ownership.
CosbehFox Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 His club is not successful in Poland. Despite having a budget in the top five clubs, they have not won a trophy during his control.
Webbo Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 As it's the People it's not worth starting a thread about it but; The Thai group, which is also interested in Championship side Leicester City, has been put together by a London-based ‘Mister Fixit’ previously on the fringes of Shinawatra’s purchase of Manchester City for £81.6m in 2007. Blackburn are priced at around £25m, which is good value for a Premier League club with a solid squad, modern facilities and no debts
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Old Johnny Thai sounds a bit dodgy to me.
ozleicester Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Shhh, between you and i... which Leicester fan, is flying in to the city in July on Thai Airways? Coincidence??
AoWW Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Shhh, between you and i... which Leicester fan, is flying in to the city in July on Thai Airways? Coincidence?? Can't be anyone important.
Rocky Dennis Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Shhh, between you and i... which Leicester fan, is flying in to the city in July on Thai Airways? Coincidence?? Into Stoughton Airport, Surely not
Chairman of the Bored Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Do we seriously want anyone involved with LCFC who is the slightest bit conected to Shinawatra? I hope not, I pray to mammon that would never happen.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 I get the feeling that many people on this site are not truly ambitious. They appear to be frightened of any change, always negative in all they say. Get your heads out of the sand, and start thinking positively about what you want from this club, Progress will not happen without change.

Depends on what you define as progress, recent football history is full of 'rich people' buying clubs in order to progress and leaving them worse off than they ever where before. I take a healthy yet cynical view of the motives of those taking over and certainly wouldn't put blind faith in them.

If there is one thing City have had in the last 3 years, its been plenty of change - new owners, several new managers, UMPTEEN new players....
