jonthefox Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Anyone else apart from the sun I might believe. But seriously the sun? I find it hard to believe, but when someones quoted there must be some element of truth in it or you can be done for libel.
Arkie Bennett Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Zloty billionaire? I think we're all in that club.
Matt Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Anyone else apart from the sun I might believe. But seriously the sun? Everyone jumped on the Wayne Brown is racist bandwagon (Not saying he's not) as soon as the news broke, The Sun was one of the first to break the news. Everyone believed Milan was coming in, The Sun/NOTW first broke the news. Makes me laugh how people how people automatically reject a story because its in The Sun (Or other tabloid) but when reading something they want to believe just to slag someone off doesn't matter if it's in The Sun or a piece of paper found on the floor.
Onions Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Good old The Sun, making up whatever random stories they like as usual. Or More like Ian making up stories as usual. The amount of crap he speaks, and yet still have followers.
lildave3 Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 I'm skeptical. Let's not go making rash statements like this until we know whether this guy's proper, and it's not just a rumour in a Murdoch rag. He's only getting excited because this dude is from Poland. A serial killing sex pest could take over and Nussul would still be creaming aslong as he was from Warsaw.
Zingari Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Zloty billionaire? I think we're all in that club. not me 1 billion Polish zloty = 209.3 million British pounds Rates provided for information only
Flynny Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Better the devil you know. Pearson is building something good here, we don't need megabucks, certainly not YET anyway. No guarantee he'll get on with Pearson, no guarantee he won't leverage the club and flog all our assets, no guarantee he won't try to pick the team and foist transfers on any manager. As has been said before, look at QPR.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 He's only getting excited because this dude is from Poland. A serial killing sex pest could take over and Nussul would still be creaming aslong as he was from Warsaw.

Kierzz Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Just found on another forum a statement from Wojciechowski that confirmed his interest in buying leicester and getting involved in English football. He said, that "takeover of Leicester couldnt be bad. Football in England is much more jammy than football in Poland." And what about Polonia? "Its a long way, but it could be logical connected with Polonia". http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/127417-owner-of-polonia-warsaw-to-takeover-leicester-%3B/ So everything published in The Sun isn't toatal BS

davieG Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 From the Merc Leicester City have rejected claims that a Polish billionaire has made an approach to buy the club. A national newspaper reported yesterday that Jozef Wojciechowski, owner of JW Construcion Holding and Polish football club Polonia Warsaw, has targeted the Foxes after looking at several clubs. The report said a source close to Wojciechowski had stated: "Wojciechowski is serious about this. He believes Leicester has huge potential." However, sources at City, who recently announced losses of £6.2 million from the year ending May 31, 2009 and have a total debt of £26 million, said there had been no known interest from Wojciechowski. However, City's current owner, Milan Mandaric, has made it known he is interested in attracting an investor to help ease the burden on himself. Mandaric is understood to be underwriting City's debt and, while he has previously said he is not actively looking to sell the club, he would welcome a partner. "It is not for sale but it is open to partnership to join me, but not for the whole club," he has previously said. "It would just be someone who I can lean on, work with and eventually whatever happens after that we will see." JW Construction specialises in luxury apartment blocks and high-end building conversions, and Wojciechowski is said to be one of the richest men in the country
