MC Prussian Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm glad we're no longer talking about the unveiling of the new away kit.
Edmund Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm glad we're no longer talking about the unveiling of the new away kit. Really?? I'd rather be talking about the new away kit than our best manager since MON leaving for the shitehole that's Hull.
ACF Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 In the midst of trying to submit my own rumour to footballrumours, as I have talked about earlier in the thread, i stumbled among this... 26 Jun 2010 10:27:23 To Dirks Engine Room, how does it feel to be so wrong. ha ha LOSER To whoever said this: " Nigel Pearson is moving to Hull City and is taking Craig Shakespeare with him." I can guarentee he will not be going to Hull. I would know, believe me! Dirks Engine Room
BoneDog Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I hoped it was a dream when I woke up today. This is shocking. HULL CITY? I thought there was a chance he would leave, but only upwards, not sideways. Even if Nigel wasn't allowed to buy new players yet we have a good starting 11 here and a few more loans could have made us as strong as last season. I thought the squad and staff had a real bond and I didn't expect this, Pearson could of made big things happen here. I need to man up cos it's getting emotional right now.
Pegosteve Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Football is not about loyalty to those that work in it. I think it was Brian Clough that said the Premier League would ruin the game and how true. You only have to look at how elite the Premiership is and how difficult it is to break into (and stay there for any length of time) Just look at the overpaid bunch of players who consider themsleves to be England's elite. It's all about money, managers, players, owners the vast majority are out for themselves, the only loyalty is from fans. LCFC my club for the last 43 years and hopefully the next 43! Pearson, Manadaric and the next manager will all be gone before the majority of us and few will spare much of a thought about our club. Just put it behind us, thank him for giving us a couple of enjoyable seaons and hope that we can attract someone who can give us hope. I fear a poor season ahead now with a fight of some description, possibly against relegation, a good start will be vital. We all have more richness in our lives than Pearson or Manadric because; We are Foxes till we die!
Callabinho Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Done deal according to the t.v he's gone as of Monday oh dear time

Agree with the main sentiments, but I don't see why you, and practically everyone else on this forum, now "fears a poor season". People should just sit back, let it all happen, see who we get, and worry about the season when it comes around. I'm confident that with this squad, we'll have a decent, solid season whoever Mandaric appoints, even if it's John Gregory!
Asha Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Anyone know what Richard Money's doing these days? Love to see Dickie Dosh get the job.

Aeropars Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm sorry but NP has been a total plank by doing thisngs this way. Everything he has preached since he came here has been about loyalty and wanting to complete a job. He's gone back on his word and for that he has lost a lot of respect with me. If he didn't mean any of it then he should have kept his mouth shut, just like he has done for most of the last season when being interviewed. If he doesn't want to be here then good riddance. The club is ALWAYS bigger than the manager and there are other apoointments which will be equally as good.

What I would say is that Milan needs to ensure that he doesnt now come looking for bargains at our club. The mission should still be the same and we need to ensure we keep our best players.
The Doctor Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hull_city/8758153.stm so it's all down to agreeing compensation? Milan's tight-fistedness might just save us yet if he demands what hull (and any other club) would class as an obsene amount - which i'd sort of expect him to do.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Dammit. I don't check the forum or listen to the news for one day, ONE DAY, and what happens? Bad news all round. Even if NP doesn't leave it, seems that he wants to. To lose a player to Hull would make me hang my head in shame, to lose the best manager we've had in years... in what world are they a bigger, better team than us? This one it would seem, which makes me ashamed. We were getting bigger crowds than they did in the Prem when we were in League One. And if NP doesn't go? We're left with a reluctant manager. And if he does? Cherry-picking those players he bought and brought through (Hobbs, King, Weale...) - which might be something that Milan wants him to do. I strongly suspect "Leicester-fan Milan" is looking to offload as much as possible and cut his loses. Pretty deplorable that this is happening whilst our chairman is away on holiday, very underhand. Peter Risdale wouldn't have done it, he's an honourable man This is all assuming that the rumours are true... If they are, I'm buying up all the banner and placard material I can... think there might be a market for "ProtestersRus".

Through no fault of our own I hasten to add, Leicester have more fans but trying to make out as if we're some kind of Wigan is pathetic.
Yojoe36 Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 So after all Pearson just wanted the money, what a load!! Well done for ruining the club you C*** I feel so betrayed, WHY!!!???? It took us 7 years to recover, and it looks like to be another 7 years. I wonder if muzzy izzet can be a manager
darko2k7 Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 So much for NP's word he would be staying, knew something was wrong when he would not sign a contract for so long he as wanted to get a bigger club for a while so all the im staying to get the job done is bull-sh*t , Ya im thankful for the good times he as brought back to the club but he as gave in to the money like so many others in football and we will only get £250,000 for him wot a give away. Also when he goes how long till he comes in for our best players i.e Jake Hobbs Andy King Matty Weale It's nearly as hurtful as when O'neil left but at least he left for a decent club and he supported Celtic my tip for next manager is my head says Shearer but i know many city fans never forgave him for the famous stamping incident So ill go for Mark Robins
The Doctor Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Through no fault of our own I hasten to add, Leicester have more fans but trying to make out as if we're some kind of Wigan is pathetic. exactly. you're nowhere near the standard of wigan So much for NP's word he would be staying, knew something was wrong when he would not sign a contract for so long he as wanted to get a bigger club for a while so all the im staying to get the job done is bull-sh*t , Ya im thankful for the good times he as brought back to the club but he as gave in to the money like so many others in football and we will only get £250,000 for him wot a gi Also when he goes how long till he comes in for are best players i.e Jake Hobbs Andy King Matty Weale It's nearly as hurtful as when O'neil left but at least he left for a decent club and he supported Celtic my tip for next manager is my head says Shearer but i know many city fans never forgave him for the famous stamping incident So ill go for Mark Robins why? his only experience is 8 games of leading newcastle to championship and even then he sat there while some other bloke (think it was dowie) did all the work.

It not my choice it just who I think it will be I want Mark Robins if we did get Shearer the only good thing about him is the players he attract .
Fosse Boy Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Shearer? Are people actually taking this seriously?
buzzy Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 well wh o can blame him.we have a complete plank in charge at lcfc never to be trusted and only out for his own means.the one thing that disapoints me with pearson that he will go to hull city who are no better off than use.mandaric must be bought out as soon as possible because i for one have never trusted him from the start.F**K off mandaric you complete muppet
00rawat Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 What a shame all the good work he has done and not wanting to continue it I was really hoping to see Pearson here for a few more years.I really hope Pearson does not come back to get any of our top players but I am still holding out it just might be someone else.
