Its been a good few years, but now he is not our manager,so i couldnt care less about him.Just hope he doesnt try to poach our decent players!we need a strong manager who is respected by players, that way we can keep ang build to our strong team.nigel who?

Hull couldn't afford any of our decent players.

They're all on long contracts so they would have to pay top dollar.

Let's all look forward to the new manager being unveiled.

LEICESTER TILL I DIE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hull are pretty much skint!

I think they've spent most of their money on getting Nigel there!

He may have the respect of these players, but he won't be able to afford them, no way, MM would not accept it. Hull is a poor choice for him but apart from Liverpool whats the next highest vacancy available (based on last years league positions) Hull, so thats why, Hull were the only ones and MM was tryin to stiff him on wages! budget is acceptable as we are reporting losses. If we'd got rid of DJ could of used his wages to pay NP and staff.

In the end shame on MM, shame on NP. We still have good players, and to be honest I think we'll finish above Hull!

Bye Nigel, thank you for the 2 years we had

I do hope Hull get a pasting everyweek !

But i sure hope Mickey Adams is a load of crap ?

Mowbury or Sousa will do it for me

and another thing Pearson...Hands of our players !

Just hope we can bring the right man in quickly and preferably before pre season starts.

Yep needs to be quick but not rushed, if that makes sense, did to me anyway. :S

Just when you thought the people in charge had rediscovered common sense and a belief in continuity, the circus starts again.

Nigel, thank you for two of the best years ever. :appl:

May you prosper at Hull just the same way you did here.

Shame to see you go.

Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Two of the best years ever?

if we analyse though how good he really is though

for me hes only good, not very good

league 1 champions with the team leicester had wasnt that great an achievement

and last season at times was very dull, defensive football with no creative ideas

Doubt it will be either one of them and i wouldn't surprised if we sold some players and Milan justify's it by saying some codswallop

So...what now?

Well, he's gone now. There's nothing we can do about it now, no need for animosity and no point in dwelling on what could have been.

It has certainly come as a shock to every single one of us, but it's brought our attention to the fact that everything is far from rosy at this club once again.

But first things first - thanks Nigel for what has been a fantastic two years.

After what happened under Holloway I wasn't sure I'd see us in a Championship play-off battle for quite some time, but in just two seasons that's exactly what we had.

For Hull City fans, you have yourselves a magnificent appointment right here. This is a man, who for the most part, knows exactly what he is doing on that football pitch.

But perhaps most impressive about his work with our club was his unprecedented knack of finding the right players. I can count the number of bad signings he made in two years on one hand with ease.

With that, praise and thanks also to Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh, whose work behind the scenes to find these players did not go unnoticed by the City faithful.

But for us, it's yet another new manager ready to come through the door. And with pre-season looming, Mandaric may act quickly to bring his new man in.

He was exactly right about what he said regarding the foundations being left by Pearson - a new manager does not have to alter a great deal to get things right this season.

The quesation now remains at who is available - and more importantly, who wants to lead this team. The most prominent candidates that come to mind are Alan Curbishley and Tony Mowbray, both proven and experienced.

Rumours surrounding the possible return of Port Vale manager Micky Adams have already begun the rounds, whilst there has also been (worrying) talk of the (unfortunately) available Iain Dowie, who has been strongly linked with the post in the past.

Whoever comes in, Mandaric has to get this one right for us to push on this season. Losing Pearson is one thing, but the thought of a player exodus to go with that does not sit well in the mind.

This job should not be considered a posioned chalice by any means. Mandaric may have gone through some in his tenure, but most had their reasons.

After a wonderful season in the Championship last year we should still remain an attractive proposition for a new man in charge.

Can Milan get it right this time around? We have absolutely no idea

*Sigh* This summer (of football) doesn't seem to get much better does it? Ah well, good luck Nige, thanks for the past two years! I'm sure we'll all watch with added interest to see how your career progresses. Mind, if I'm expected to want Hull to succeed under him, then bite me. <_<

Is it just me who really hopes this is to do with a new investor? 'Cause otherwise I just don't understand why he went/we couldn't get him to stay/MM and Hoos let him go...

EDIT: Just realised it says Shakey and Walshy have gone too! That's arguably a worse blow than NP leaving himself :/

Bye, bye, NFP.

Not your biggest fan but excellent work rebuilding the club after the fall...

Good luck at Hull in general but obviously I hope we beat you, at least twice...:D

Got out of the way just in time for us to get in a manager who can do more with the decent players and the good set up you have left us.

Eminently possible, i think!

Whoever we get to replace him will be an improvement on that dour faced, mardy ****.

A retarded batty boy could have got us out of League 1 with the squad we had and we got lucky on a lot of results this year. Tactically he was cr*p, some of his signings have been cr*p (Nielson, McGivern), he signed Gallagher as a striker then played him in midfield, he signed N’Guessen but never played him despite needing pace on the field and he couldn’t get anything out of DJ who went on to score nuff for our play off rivals when he should have been scoring for us!!

Nigel Pearson is the biggest bellcheese that’s ever managed Leicester and i’m glad he’s gone. I’m glad now that we’ll have someone coming in that wont say, “Please Mr Chairman, don’t sign me a Dutch midfield legend or a majestic French winger. Let me sign some Asian lad playing non-league to put the cones out at training.”

What a w*nker.

I'm not bitter by the way.
