Tilley Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Otamendi is fucking awful. No shame in losing to this German side though.
Matt Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Otamendi is fucking awful. No shame in losing to this German side though. Unless you lose 4-1 and play like shit thus deserving to lose, and lose badly.
Tilley Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Unless you lose 4-1 and play like shit thus deserving to lose, and lose badly. At least we managed to score, the Argies have fallen apart.
Zingari Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 come on Germany , get another and we can say we are better than Argentina
MC Prussian Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Argentina - nowhere to be seen. Germany unbelievably efficient.
MC Prussian Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 At least we managed to score, the Argies have fallen apart. At least Argentina made it to the Quarter Finals. England scored three goals in four matches.
Tilley Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 At least Argentina made it to the Quarter Finals. England scored three goals in four matches. Argentina have ALOT more quality at their disposal. Shows you do need a manager with some tactical ability.
Koke Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 FINALLY MASCHERANO gets a yellow. About fucking time. I thought for a moment he was untouchable and he had to murder someone before getting a card. Cherio Argentina. You won't be missed.
MC Prussian Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Germany are the new Brazil. This Argentine squad and Maradona will get hammered by their press and their fans when they get back home. Simple as.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 The fact that Argentina have been so horribly battered with so much talent in their ranks is testament not only to the talent of Germany, but also how unutterably shit Maradona is as a manager. Kind of shows how silly and premature people were in queuing up to rim them.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 A Big Statement to World Football. Germany's play is superb. They deserve to do well after some fantastic football. They will probably win the next world cup with young talent like that. Schweinsteiger has cemented his place as the best central midfielder in the world in my book.
dandannieldanok Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Kind of shows how silly and premature people were in queuing up to rim them. And now exactly the same thing is happening but with the Germans instead. It'll look silly and premature when Spain inevitably beat them in the semi-finals.
MC Prussian Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Bloody lucky German cash cow Gayern Munich - Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Mueller, Klose, even Badstuber... They'll all be worth about five times as much after this World Cup.
Ozwin Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 You have to admire the Germans though, they're so, well, German.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 And now exactly the same thing is happening but with the Germans instead. It'll look silly and premature when Spain inevitably beat them in the semi-finals. Fair. I personally am rimming none of the remaining teams. All are beatable and any one of Holland, Spain and Germany could feasibly win it. Uruguay and Paraguay are massive outsiders but can you really rule anything out this year? Am I right in saying that the Dutch are now the only team remaining with a 100% record as well, including the qualifiers? Immense achievement if they can finish it off. For me, that makes them the favourites to lift the trophy now.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Schweinsteiger has cemented his place as the best central midfielder in the world in my book. No. One swallow doesn't make a summer, there's no doubting Schweinsteiger's ability, and I am a fan of his, but that tag is ridiculous. I've never really rated Argentina under Maradona, and my word, how they could've done with the likes of Juan Riquelme (who quit after a rift with Maradona) today, someone to piece everything together. The omission of Cambiasso from the squad was a blunder as well.
Samilktray Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Schweinsteiger has cemented his place as the best central midfielder in the world in my book. Behave Xavi and Iniesta are leagues ahead of him
surrifox Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 any room in this thread for some blind xenophobic comments concerning the G E R M A N team? Can someone , anyone stop the feckers winning the thing - Holland? please . I promise that my cheese of choice will be Edam, whatever it takes!
Finnegan Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 Behave Xavi and Iniesta are leagues ahead of him Aye. Them and the kid Aaron Ramsey.
