Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 With Paulo Saousa pretty much confirmed, will DJ Campbell have a future with him and LCFC ? Any thoughts on whether he should get another chance ?
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 With Paulo Saousa pretty much confirmed, will DJ Campbell have a future with him and LCFC ? Any thoughts on whether he should get another chance ? Oh look - How Wonderful. Another D J Campbell thread. Just what we need.
kylestyle06 Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 fook DJ Campbell... Waste of space.. plus he didn't want to play for us.. get him off the wage bill is what I say
Bellend Sebastian Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 I could talk about DJ Campbell FOREVER. Seriously though, I'd have thought that as one of our more sellable assets it would make sense to get rid if a good offer comes in if funds are required for squad rebuilding. If these Malaysians stump up loads of cash though we might end up buying even more stroppy short arse forwards
hackneyfox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 I'd off load him as quick as possible, especially if we could get money for him. A flat frog and 2 conkers would be enough.
ousefox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 No, he's done fook all here, had his chance, and if we can get a decent fee for him i'll be every happy considering his wages.
Daggers Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Campbell fits into a Sousa system and no one is rushing to buy him. I'd happily see him playing and scoring for us, despite his twice printed refusal to come back. And if he did you'd all be on your knees chugging at his manhood.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 No, he's done fook all here, had his chance, and if we can get a decent fee for him i'll be every happy considering his wages. Thats the problem in it self. We are trying to get the best possible fee for him, which in the end put off Blackpool. If we cant get a good fee, the more and more it goes on he will surely get cheaper as his contract is running out, then by this time next year he will have gone for free. I would rather get rid of him on a free transfer than faff around with him like we are doing. I cant help but feel we are being too greedy in price. I wouldnt be too uspet if he actually started to get a game under Sousa, but then has he had his last chance?
MPH Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Bag of salted peanuts would be good enough for me to wave.goodbye to him.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Campbell fits into a Sousa system and no one is rushing to buy him. I'd happily see him playing and scoring for us, despite his twice printed refusal to come back. And if he did you'd all be on your knees chugging at his manhood. I'd be quite happy if he played for us and was scoring, but that won't stop me being concerned about the wages he's currently on.
Fox96 Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 I'd rather give Kemrogant another chance, DJ has already had his.
Asherz Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 sousa will see how he was banging in the goals at the end of last season for blackpool and want to keep hold of him... imo or at least keep him for the first 6 months untill january comes along and if he still aint performin a swift size 9 up his chuff and out the door
Guest Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 The little twat's surely now got more threads about him on here than he has goals for us, which ain't hard I suppose
muzzyisalegend Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Hmmmm, tough one. If he managed to rattle in the goals like he did at Blackpool, I'd be happy for him to stay. But I'm also thinking of him saying he doesn't want to be here, and he's HAS had a couple of goes at it with us without success. Catch 22 if ever there was one! Give him one last chance I say, if not release him on a free at christmas.
Sk4 Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 It said in one of the tabloids that Ipswich were interested in DJ
Guest ttfn Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Is it wrong that I don't want Campbell to succeed here? To think that that good-for-nothing clown could hit some form and keep out somebody like Fryatt or Howard, who have time and again stepped up to the plate for City, absolutely sickens me. I really wish we would just release him now.
Flynny Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Well what we can say for sure is 'Maybe, maybe not'. I love these threads.
okie fox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 DJ is in the last year of his contract so we need to sell him now while we can still get something for him (as well as get rid of his wages).
PAULCFC Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 "Anywhere but Leicester" was what i think he was quoted as saying.......No Thanks.
Tilley Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 DJ has more use than Kermorgant. He showed what he can do at this level in the right system with a manager that shows some faith in him at Blackpool. I am sure if Sousa plays on the floor, passing football then DJ will fit right in.
Edmund Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 I think a lot depends on wether he gets on with the rest of the squad. He's been ridiculed and treated like shit by the club. Afterall it's not his fault he's on a lucrative contract. There might be a lot of spite and jealousy towards him as he earns a lot more than the others and of course he had a 25% pay rise after promotion in a season when he didn't contribute anything (through no fault of his own). I still think it's best for both parties to move on. It wasn't meant to be for Deej at Leicester.
OzFox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 With Paulo Saousa pretty much confirmed, will DJ Campbell have a future with him and LCFC ? By the sounds of it, Sousa likes players who can trap a football. That pretty much rules out DJ.
