RizLCFC Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 Has he reported for pre season and does anyone know how he's getting on with the lads as he was recently quoted in a French paper saying he hasn't had any contact with anyone from the club over the summer? Thanks
00rawat Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 Don' t know but I hope the peno thing is all forgot now i for one hope he has a good season.
KFS Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 I can see him doing well this season. If Sousa does like to pass it I think he'll thrive. Found myself saying "nice pass Kermo" quite often last season. If all this passing idea isn't true and Sousa likes Hoofball, I think he'll do well because oh his height and stockyness.
Callabinho Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 He will be fine ! Sousa will want a fresh start for all his players ! and I definitely think the passing game will suit Kermo, plus the shot against Middlesbrough showed us he can produce something out of nothing ! we are yet to see the best of him and I hope him and his family are settle now so he can move on and have a good season !
Wymsey Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 Not going to support this **** again coz when i went to the players awards dinner night i just said hello to him and he just blanked me. HOPE YOU GO!

Tilley Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 I'd want him to leave because even before the play-off shoot out, he just wasn't good enough.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 I do hope we keep him and he does well for us... perhaps he just needed a season to settle in... the peno could well have hampered all that though. P.S. It's touché... accent heading right.
Walshy5 Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 This **** should never play for us again. Call me what you will for saying this but I dont give a fook what people think.
ousefox Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 I think he could come good next year if he is played in his right position (wherever that is!) and is given a proper chance in the team. If the rumours are true that Howard is on his way then it looks like him and Fryatt. Although we could definitely do with some more forwards to fill the gaps left by Waggy and Vaughan.

dandannieldanok Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 I'd want him to leave because even before the play-off shoot out, he just wasn't good enough. Exactly, the bloke was far from disastrous but he was simply not up to the required standard at any time during last season. I don't see why he should be any better next season. He arrived in late summer, he's had plenty of time to settle so no-one can trot out that old excuse anymore. He hasn't delivered. Hopefully Pearson will take him to Hull, after all he did sign him on a 2.5 year contract so he obviously sees something in him.

He won't come good this season because he simply isn't good enough. Only Pearson and a few hopeful F.T members rated him. The game of football in England is essentially the same as it is in France. It should not take a year to settle in, you are either good enough or not and I have seen nothing from him to suggest he will be any better this year than last.
Legend_in_blue Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 If he's played in the correct position and gets more game time, perhaps a lot of people on here will eat their humble pie.
davieG Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 Whether he can come good I don't know but I do know that players need to operate within a style of game that best suits their skills and attributes, it's the same with any job. I tend to think that the style of play we used last year didn't best suit him maybe a passing game will. He certainly has a good range of basic skills his first touch, close control, passing and heading are all good enough for this league what he needs is a manager that plays to those strengths whether they match the strengths of the other players, well that's down to the manager assembling a team of players that can easily integrate and perform together in a productive way.

I for one am fed up hearing this shit about how he needs time to settle in and get used to the game and speed, etc. He has been here since last summer! He had plenty of time and never even looked that good. The best I can ever remember him playing at was at an average level anyway. The penalty incident a side, he isnt good enough, and I doubt he will be this season.
okie fox Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 Don't rate him. Too slow. Ambles around instead of closing down. Only 1 goal all last season. Can jump though. Prefer Howard.
Clazie Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 In my eyes he has until January to sort his game out, if it still isn't working, let him go. I agree with the idea that Sousa's gameplan will suit him better, and so he might prove us all wrong, 'cause he was bloody awful last season.
