Blackpool have the same squad we did the double on last season.

Madness, surely certs for relegation?

Holloway's been coming across as a right dick on SSN whenever I've seen him too. He's obviously frustrated, can't see him lasting the season tbh.

Need to stop going on so jewish pretty sharpish or else they're clearly going down. To be fair they'll probably piss the Championship the year after though if they've still got most their Sky telly money left coupled with the £44 million parachute payments. Load of bollocks really.

If they brought in 4/5 players on PL money they'll probably have to upgrade loads of others and will still get relegated which will eat up the parachute payments. The best thing for Blackpool is they've got their new stand out of it.

Let's face it they had no notion they would get promoted and probably planned to avoid relegation last year so are totally unprepared for this on and off the pitch.

I've said this before but I think they'll do a lot better than Derby did a few seasons back and will follow the same pattern as Burnley last season; some good early home wins until teams adjust to them and they'll eventually get relegated. I think they'll surprise a few people, it is not out of the question that the players in their squad can make the step-up and compete in enough games to get a respectable points tally.

Aren't their first 5/6 games are all away though due to their stand being unfinished?

They switched the first game to away but three of the next four were away anyway, so four of the first five on the road.

Difference is, Burnley didn't look a bad outfit and produced some good displays in the cup, didn't they reach the semi finals of the league cup in their promotion season??

Blackpool's squad looks very weak, to quote Alan Pardew "they'll get raped".

They're 10/1 to get 10 or less points. Definately worth a fiver.

i emailed paddy power asking the odds for them not winning a SINGLE game in prem next season, they gave me 25-1.... I was hoping for at least 100-1, the bookies don't fancy blackpool.

They can't attract anyone to the club, they'll get beat near enough every week, Charlie Adam will most probably join a club like Wigan/Bolton, and Blackpool will get relegated.

That 10/1 bet sounds good.

Blackpool don't look a bad outfit either from what I've seen of them last season. And they thumped Wigan 4-1 in the League Cup before only just losing 4-3 away at Stoke.

I don't really know why I'm arguing the point because I couldn't really give a crap how they do, in fact I actually hope they do appallingly badly because it would be funny, however I just believe they'll do better than expected and for a certain period of time, they'll be propped up by their home form.

Don't forget they've got Francis Jeffers on trial and will probably sign him up. Can see him saving them :crylaugh::crylaugh:

And, their major signing maybe Stead lol

Allegedly they fancy Marlon Harewood as well as a couple of other strikers from abroad. May have taken the hint about DJ.

25-1 to not win a game, that's terrible

Newspaper gossip

Blackpool's promotion heroes are still waiting to be paid the bonuses owed to them since their play-off victory at Wembley two months ago, leaving owner Karl Oyston facing a damaging row two weeks before their Premier League debut at Wigan.

10/3 to stay up and still not worth risking a quid

The odds are far too short for that bet
