Aleksz Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Squad: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8894651.stm#squad
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Stupid having a friendly now, days before the Prem season. Interesting squad choices, Gibbs and Wilshere in there.
lildave3 Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Pointless, but intrigued with some of the selections. Gibbs, Wilshere and...Zamora
Matt Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Pointless, but intrigued with some of the selections. Gibbs, Wilshere and...Zamora Wes ****ing Brown. Huzzah. Bobby Zamora and Wes Brown. Wow. Shite, but then again no shitter than the 'superstars' that went to the World Cup and pulled an England shirt on.
Suffolk_fox Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Sorry, but I can't seem to get excited by this at all...
foxoffderby Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 I hope the attendence is really low, after the shambles of the WC. They embarrased the whole country, I've lost total interest in the national team. Thats coming from somebody who went to both Euro 2004 and WC 2006. No more, if they can't be arsked then neither can I be bothered to spend any more money following that rubbish
foxoffderby Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Just heard on SSN Paul Robinson has turned down the England chance and retired from International football. Can't blame him really. Fabio's a nob.
Guest ttfn Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Jack Wilshere being in the England squad is absolutely ridiculous. Surely nobody can argue that he's earned it?
purpleronnie Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Sorry, but I can't seem to get excited by this at all... no-one can, why would they?
Sparky Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Paul Robinson has rejected the call and retired from international football.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Jack Wilshere being in the England squad is absolutely ridiculous. Surely nobody can argue that he's earned it? It's the new fad, youth will suddenly make it all better again. To be fair to Wilshere he did actually do pretty well for Bolton last season, but I personally think Rodwell should have been picked ahead of him for now because he's had 2 good seasons.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 I want to see this on Wednesday. Hart Brown Dawson Terry ColeGerrard BarryMilner Wilshere YoungRooney See how that works out. I feel Rooney is our only 'good enough' striker for England so he should player there by himself for that simple reason.
Jimothy Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Wes Brown now retired.... Best football moment of the year by far.
C-man Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Keep these retirements coming... Gerrard and Terry next please!
dandannieldanok Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Fucking hell, turned down by Wes Brown now..!
Joe. Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Obviously this is a ridiculous time to have a friendly and the FA continue to be complete cretins, but it'll be nice to see some new boys in the lineup. We haven't seen an England squad like this forever as far as I can remember, so it seems like the World Cup shambles really is having the effects it should have done.
C-man Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 No way. Because he's always given 100% for England and never let us down in previous tournaments?
J.Lisemore Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 No matter what team England put out at the minute or even IF they win this friendly....there still shite.
