Callabinho Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Why are you still shouting!?! If we all shout together, then it will not matter? as we will all be shouting
RowlattsFox Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Not sure about this, he looked very clumsy when he played a few games for West Ham last year, all power and no finesse. But he's still highly rated so I'm going to judge him completely after a few games in the Premiership. Glad Sousa is looking at a powerful striker, to take some of the burden from Howard but not sure this guy is the right player.
Callabinho Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 "Would happily wager with you that Middlesbrough do finish in the play-offs, at least". Hmm okay maybe nothing was harsh, I don't think they are better than us! but we need something, i was happy with our performance i though we were brilliant at times!
unreachable Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Leicester_Loyal should wait until the end of the January Transfer Window when he can form a reasonable opinion. Otherwise the insults are well founded.
Bert Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Take the out the "u" and I'd be vey happy (I wish!). Suppose any promising striker is exciting, but lets remember that not every young striker will get some of the luck Waghorn did. Frank Noble? Whose that? Why are you still shouting!?! CAPS LOCK IS SHOUTING.

sdb Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 not sure he's an improvement on what we've got. think we need a creative midfielder (right and maybe central too) as a priority, then perhaps another CB. Fryatt, DJ, Howard and Gallagher are 4 good forwards at this level. I'd happily add another, but i think Nouble is par with this lot at best. Would be nice to get someone in their prime.
bigneville Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Frank Nouble is not good enough. He was on loan at West Brom last year, and made no impact at all. My friend has links at the club and they stated he was fine as a striker, but as soon as he was asked to play right wing/right sided forward, he wasn't interested. He has to play as the main striker, and he isn't going to do that here. He won't make an impact i'm sure, and i'd happily let him go to Portsmouth. There are many other players about with more potential, and more quality than Frank. Would be a poor signing in my opinion.
MPH Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 You can't offer an opinion on these forums without being insulted, its pathetic. That was my opinion, why are you on a public forum if you don't want to listen to anyone else's opinions? Just another plank that thinks his views are the only ones that matter. So let me get this right.... you are allowed to have your opinion but when people share their opinion (that you are a plank) then suddenly its pathetic... Works both ways. You are allowed your opinion and by posting it on a public forum, people are allowed to respond with theirs. You might. Not like their opinion and they might notlike yours. Either way no one wins when people get upset so easily.....
Master Fox Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 We do need something, not exactly desperately, but without it, we aren't going to get promoted. If the current squad is left as it is, we'll struggle to even get a playoff place, finishing around 8th in my opinion. I absolutely agree. We are desperate for a half decent striker. Without adding 4 maybe 5 players with some quality we'll struggle to make the play offs with this squad. Anyone who thinks we have a squad capable of promotion are deluded and dumb.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 I'd be pleased with Nouble coming here to be honest, looks a decent prospect.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Frank Noble? Whose that? Bit of experience could be good.

tomtom Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 It's a pretty poor division this season with no real stand out team that should run away with it. We could very possibly make the play offs and with continued progress over the season and investment in the squad go one better than last season ! Does that make me dumb and deluded now ???

I am not deluded or dumb, sorry to tell you that, which can only mean ( as I totally disagree with you ) that you may well be the dim one. Fifth last year, and we already have a better squad than last year. If you ask me nicely I could spell that out for you, so that you can understand what I am saying! Oh, by the way I think you mean 'is deluded and dumb'. Enough said!
dpjfox Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 west ham have just signed that striker from man city so may release nouble now
phillthefox Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 my boss at work a hammers season ticket holder says this guy very strong very quick and prob score a few goals for us in championship, but then he said he like carlton cole without a brain........ now im not so sure.
dayday Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 I think he will step in Howard shoes and play as a front 3 with D.J and Dyer...Howard does his job well, but if we are too play this system we need a battering ram upfront with 2 pacey players alongside him...then watch us go.
leftsideoverhere Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Really impressed by how many people have already written off our squad this season on the basis of the first three games under a new manager, despite some promising new players arriving, and a welcome return to form for some old hands. In particular... I mean we need a playmaker! we looked really good against Boro! But lacked that cutting edge! we did create plenty of chances! but we need to put them away! Im positive that Paulo is the right man for the job! i just hope we can compete for an automatic spot! couldn't take the play-ofs again! So we need a playmaker because we created lots of chances but didn't put them away? Riiiiiight !!!!!!!! Edit: Forgot the mandatory half dozen exclamation marks for this thread.
Unabomber Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 I don't think he would be a bad addition, and would definitely offer us something different as it stands. However he did have a poor time last season at Swindon.
