I think we should keep DJ and use his goals to get us promoted, then sell him to Blackpool - when they get relegated!

YOU'LL NEVER PLAY PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL AGAIN, DJ!

Of course, even though he'll go on a free at the end of the season, so we can't sell him.

1) Some players it fires up ala Fryatt

2) If I remember rightly he heavily featured in a team which got us into League One.

3) I care about the club, not a player.

As for this better players stuff, I don't believe...Campbell's face doesn't fit here, it never has and the amount of good games he's had for Leicester City I can count on one hand...just finally it appears he's leaving with a great deal for the club.

All this crap about Fryatt is beginning to annoy me. Scores goals, clever player, assists too but cos he holds the ball sometimes a bit too long and isn't the quickest (bit like Campbell does but he's quicker with a poorer end product - as showcased against Middlesbrough), he gets stick. When his contract was about to run out, he signed by Christmas. He's one of our longest serving players and despite being neglected, rejected, injured during his time, he's kept his head down, not gone on loan, not made a mardy through the newspapers and been a respectable employee.

If DJ wants to go to a tin pot sub championship quality club playing in the premiership, then let him go.

I dont understand how you can call a club that got promoted to the prem 'sub-championship' when we're currently wallowing at the bottom of the champ and they're playing Fulham later today.

Even if Blackpool only last one season up there they fu**ing earned it, they deserve it, and I dont think you should put down the club or their fans for it.

Well said - and we, meanwhile, promise this, that and the other while actually struggling to even get our takeover ratified, never mind sufficient players to give ourselves a shout for promotion.

Not that start of the season nonsense is anything new at Leicester. We're not exactly quick learners and, eight points off from pace after three matches, we've no right to criticise anyone.

The thing that stood out for me in that story was how Varney couldn't hold down a first team place at Derby yet finds himself now at a prem club.

Blackpool will go down quicker than the Belgrano...

Yes quite agree. Ian Holloway and Blackpool have earned their right to get into the Premiership. They deserve credit for achieving what we could not. :appl: :appl: :appl:

Anyone who thinks getting rid of Campbell is a good idea is a ****ing idiot with no footballing brain. We had **** all pace up front and looked absolutley dire, no end product whatsoever.

Funny how Campbell was causing all sorts of problems against Borough and we play one of our best games, scores against Palace and now we've got **** all. Not happy about this situation at all.

You know our team is piss poor when our only goal threat looked like coming from a winger. Shambles.

He scored today.

Get him out, sign a Centre Half, make sure no-one else leaves. Work out our strongest side and go with it. That'd be my advice to PS.

We were crying out for his pace today. Howard did **** all accept for one shot off the line at the end.

Their defence found it so easy to get back and contain our front line. Middlesbrough soiled their pants the other week when Campbell was playing.

To be fair to Holloway he's gone out and signed a striker who's not proven at premiership level and hardly proven at Champoinship level but he does strike me as a player who'll find the net with good service.

I'd like to see his goals to chances ratio. I'd bet it's above average.

correct, a Leicester team with DJ in the side will be pushing for the title, he'd make that big a difference.

Go and listen to Sousa's post match interview.

DJ was not in the squad because his 'head' is in another club.

Basically he is throwing a strop to try and pressure us into flogging him to Blackpool.

And I am certain he has only put it in pre-season to ensure he gets a move.

This fella never has and never will want to be a LCFC player.

Quite why some of you continue to court his affection is beyond me.

He doesn't want to wear our shirt, take what we can before we get sod all next summer and invest the money in someone who wants to play for us.

I remember a fella on here boasting he has paid good money to sponsor Campbell. Given his attitude towards the club can I suggest a quick call to the commercial office on Monday might be in order.

Update from Koppite over at AVFTT...

OK an update re the DJ Saga!

First of all let me reiterate!

DJ Campbell WILL sign for the pool before the deadline 100% nailed on!

The reports of Mandarić had moved the goalposts yet again by raising a verbally agreed fee from 1.2 million to 1.8 million are wide of the mark!

However he did attempt to move them by later asking for an additional fee after DJ had made a set number of appearances for us! (No idea what the figure was or the amount of games that would trigger the clause) But the extra 600K between the 1.2 & 1.8 million may or may not be relevant!

Our "Chief executive" in no uncertain terms made it clear that he was having none of it Mandarić then attempted to go down the sell on fee route!

Again KO was having none of it!

This caused the stalemate that delayed DJ signing on Friday!

The sh!t has hit the fan since DJ went back to Leicester!

There are also reports surfacing in the media that 3 Leicester players have allegedly handed transfer requests in over the weekend!

Whether DJ is one of thee 3 I have no idea

But i wouldn't be at all surprised if he was one of them.

Certainly seems a lot of unrest there of late for sure.

Everyone i spoke to at the club yesterday were 100% confident DJ will be here by Tuesday!

Charlie Adam Being The latest to share his thoughts on the subject with me last night!

Our conversation re DJ went like this!

Me to Charlie:

If you were a betting man would you place a bet on DJ Campbell being back at the pool before the deadline on Tuesday?

Charlie's Answer:"Quote"

If you can find a bookie that will take that bet snap his hand off no matter what odds he offers you!

Me to Charlie:

So are you saying you think DJ will be back here before the deadline then Charlie?

Charlie's Answer:"Quote"

No I'm not saying i think DJ will be back "I KNOW HE WILL BE BACK"

So there you have it!

By the way.

As i stated earlier:

DJ has already agreed his terms!

He has also no completed his medical which was fine
