DJ to Blackpool according to Sky's latest

good riddance, hope they've enlarged the door frames at Blackpool so he can squeeze his mahoosive head and even bigger ego through. if we all go and help to pack his bags will he leave any sooner? He may have looked lively in pre season but he doesnt want to play for us, so I dont want to see him in our shirt again.

Im a tad confused where all this hatred for DJ has come from?

He has looked our best player throughout pre-season and in the games he has played this season

I have seen no evidence since Sousa came in that DJ wants out. To the contrary PS has said that DJ wants to stay and PS wants him to stay.

Now because Sky Sports sources reveal he "might join today" all the knifes are out - these are the same sources that said Amdy Faye was joining us a while back

I would rather wait on facts, then criticise the player still performing well for us.

If he put in transfer request and it comes out he asked for a move then granted thats fair enough

Slagging him off now seems bizzare.

As it stands unless we hear otherwise I would have thought he will play on Saturday and if thats the case I would like him to put the same amount of effort in as he has done already this season and be given support.

All this negavity and slagging him off rubbish doesnt help the team/ club in my opinion

I've missed all this, are we seriously getting upwards of £4M for him?!

No.

Press conference at 6pm according to Stringer re DJ and Abi

Is there not always one on a Thursday? Probably stringer whipping things up again to try and get a few more listeners.

Not a big fan of DJ, never have been, but I don't really see it as good news for us if he goes. If we still had Pearson as manager then I'd say yes, it would be good news, but we have a guy in charge now that actually likes and rates DJ so I can't see this deal being a particularly positive one for Leicester.

Having said that, after all the bitterness and problems that have occurred in the past, it may be best to just cut the ties with DJ for good. :dunno:

His exact words.

"Leicester City press conference, as it happened, live on BBC Radio Leicester tonight, 6pm, 104.9fm. Sousa asked re Yuki Abe + DJ Campbell"

Basically he just asked about them at the normal pre match press conference.

To be honest, he had a massive hand in Blackpool's promotion though didn't he, so who could blame him. I know that he's a Leicester player but he has earnt the right to play in the Premier League just like the rest of the Blackpool players. Loyalty just isn't what it used to be, is it? You only have to look at some other footballers like Barry and Adebayor for the example of not being loyal.

And, Im a massive fan of DJ Campbell.

Just put yourself in DJ's shoes though. After scoring a hat trick in the play off semi-final away from home and then after winning promotion to the Premier League, you have to return to Leicester, who are (at this moment in time) 23rd in the second tier of English football. What team would you rather be playing in?

I don't think it's his 'massive ego' at all but if a player doesn't want to play for the club, let him go, no matter how good he is.

watching sky sports news on sky player, and it just said at the bottom "sky sources: DJ CAMPBELL SET TO JOIN BLACKPOOL..." not sure if it said today or not, i think it did.

His performance at Burnley suggested little else.

Anyways, a good deal for both clubs methinks.

Southern Fox...you said hatred, what about the previous two years? 'I don't wanna go there again' or last summer when he was happy to take the dough.

I agree with you, sometimes people forget that he's a human being too. He is one of my fave LC players, but he has earned the right to be a premiership player.

says today on sky sports news , what concerns me is paulo wanted him to stay, now he's either being sold over sousa's head or dj wants to leave. or perhaps they have fell out already . plus who gets the money from the sale ?? paulo for a new striker or mandaric cause the takeover isnt yet official or is it ??? brewery and piss up comes to mind!

really frustrating at the minute no-one connected at the club can speak an ounce of truth and i fear were going to get left behind in the transfer market the way things are going.

You might add the fact that we've left him on the sidelines almost from day one of a long contract - and during a time when our attack was limited at best.

Why would tat make anyone want to play for us?

As for "ego" I rather have a player with justified ego and self-confidence rather than some of the "shirts" we've had whose limited ability would hardly justify them having "ego" even in Divison One.

For his own sake the sooner he goes somewhere he's better appreciated by club and fans alike the better.
