Webbo Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Don't worry you will. On his return to The Walkers next season with Blackpool. I can't see Blackpool staying up myself.
Houdini Logic Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I can't see Blackpool staying up myself. Did you just hijack my joke?
Dr The Singh Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I don't get it, aslong as the foooker scores goals and gives 100%, I couldn't give two poops about the past, and to be fair he looks a goal threat and looks like he's giving everything! He's proven to be a very good striker at this level, although different to Fryup, he will get more goals!! If he fooks off, for the right price, then so be it!!
Collymore Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I'd like to give him a chance Ric, I've got a potential £1000 winning on his golden boot. Do I get a refund? This was a bad investment.
Corky Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I'm sure this will drag out for a few days, leaving us no time to find a replacement.
STUHILL Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 It's a shame as he has always had the potential of being good for us but how much longer can we wait for that?? We will be getting over a million for him, so hopefully that money will go to bringing in someone of real quality to stake their claim as our number 1 striker! We need to move fast though, hopefully Sousa already has someone lined up
Houdini Logic Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 You gazumped me. To be fair I didn't think people would get it, so at least it's evidence one person is on my wavelength
Mack Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I dont think it will drag on, it best for all parties if it's done today and is available for them this weekend and the money is freed up for us to spend before the transfer deadline.
Lcfcman2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I say let him go, all this bad air around the players and feelings towards the subject isn't going to help Sousa's problems at all. Cash in on the waste of space and invest in someone who will wear the blue shirt with pride. All this negativity is bad for a new manager and potential signings. Fook off to the tangerine dreamers and we'll by pass you on your way back down!
leftsideoverhere Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 He resigned because he was declared bankrupt and bankrupts are not allowed to be Chair/CEO of football clubs. Oh, I missed that coming out. I only had his own press release in mind, in which he made out he was giving up on the job because he was disillusioned by the financial practices of the premier league.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Could we put this money to make a move for a certain Sunderland striker
MrSpaM Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I don't know why Blackpool are bothering tbh, they must be really desperate. DJ is definatly not a premiership standard striker by any stretch of the imagination. I've got no doubt he'd do a job for us, but for blackpool to be paying more than they want to for him just because no-one will sign for them is crazy, and we should be snapping their arm off to make this deal. Good luck warming blackpools lack of bench DJ Right now we just need to build a new strikeforce before tuesday...

I only had his own press release in mind, in which he made out he was giving up on the job because he was disillusioned by the financial practices of the premier league. No problem these things are easily missed especially when the football authorities decide it's something they sooner we didn't know, it certainly didn't get much of an airing.
unreachable Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 He resigned because he was declared bankrupt and bankrupts are not allowed to be Chair/CEO of football clubs. Didn't realise Karl Owston was declared bankrupt either. What's your source? Sorry - wrong spelling Oyston
davieG Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Didn't realise Karl Owston was declared bankrupt either. What's your source? My apologies to leftsideoverhere he's actually subject to a Bankruptcy hearing, which is why he resigned. So he can't be too confident. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67046&view=findpost&p=1664321
VampLCFC Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Yea this needs to be wrapped up asap, if he's going then he's going, take the money and move on, forget about him and buy somebody better, god knows who, but surely Sousa has a replacement lined up or he wouldn't be letting DJ go........ Surely????
unreachable Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Can only find that Karl Oyston is "involved in bankruptcy proceedings" not that he was declared bankrupt. Watch out DavieG! You might get sued for libel!
