hackneyfox Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Fryatt will be out sooner or later anyway (hopefully) as he will never be a PL player. He also seems to sulk
Father Ted Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 I don't care anymore. I will believe it when I see it.
bald reynard Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Fryatt has handed in a transfer request, he's clearly no longer happy here, let him go Is that a FACT ?! I haven't seen anything, from anywhere, to confirm this RUMOUR !
hackneyfox Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 I thought a number of players handed in transfer requests due to somebody acting the prima donna. That person is now fiddling with donkeys, so no more problem.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 We can always find solid defenders that'll do a decent job, but it's a lot harder to find players like fryatt who will get you a goal every other game. I'm in no way against bringing zayatte in, but not at the expense of fryatt. Agreed, from what little I've seen of Zayatte I reckon he'd be more than good enough in the Championship. Would be very disappointed if Fryatt was a makeweight in the deal (or the other way round with Zayatte the makeweight).
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 wouldnt wanna see a swap deal......if we can get a proven replacement in to fill fryatts boots then fine but I wouldnt want a swap deal Have to say I agree. Why swap a striker for a defender anyway? We need a proven striker if Matty goes.
Cheese Me Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Stringer's Twitter says he thinks Zayatte to Leicester will probably happen on loan with a view to permanent but he doesn't believe any Leicester players will be going the other way 'at the moment'
MC Prussian Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 During Monday's phone-in, a reporter from BBC Humberside has declared Zayatte coming to Leicester as a "maybe". Also said that Zayatte looked like a shadow of his former self ever since a couple of French-speaking players left the Tigers at the end of last season/over the summer. The guy has been shocking for Hull so far this season and has serious troubles with headers, despite his posture. And there's definitely no Leicester player going up to Hull.
red5 Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 look fryatt is good dont get me wrong but i think most people are just too attached to him. he could easily be replaced with players like vaughan who is looking for another loan exit with a deal to sign on permanent for a championship club. what I seen of Vaughan I'd say he was better than Fryatt and Waghorn, maybe injury prone but he was fast and good in the air, I'd like to see him back here.
bigneville Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Goals are soooo much more important that decent defenders. Fryatt > Zayette every day.
leftsideoverhere Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 I still laugh when people tellfryatt to fook off. Top Scorer last two years, and then Sousa drops him for DJ, who has dome nothing but bith and moan about this club. Sousa has treated Fryatt like shit, you can't blame him for waiting out, he deserves so much better than what he is getting!! Whatever the merits of dropping Fryatt (he hasn't looked the same since his injury last season, to be scrupulously fair), DJ scored in the opening day game, and his performances were enough to re-ignite Blackpool's willingness to deal, meaning we've pocketed a hefty chunk of cash for getting shot of someone we didn't want at the club. I'd say PS has played the Campbell situation pretty shrewdly, and the only reason Fryatt would be sulking about that, would be if he had an emotional age to match his shirt number. Thankfully, I understand he's a grown up, so he'll do what most players do when they're dropped to the bench by a new manager: try harder and win back their place. Honestly, journalists increasingly write as though everyone takes life lessons from Big Brother or Jeremy Kyle.
ajthefox Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Can't see a swap happening, this imo is just some shit journalist making "a story" out of a couple of loose ends that don't actually add up.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 As nice as it'd be to have another solid defender in the team, letting one of our best strikers go in a swap deal for him would be incredibly stupid. 1) We have got defenders here who are more than capable of playing well and keeping strikers at bay, as we saw last season. 2) We've only got Waggy, Howard and Gally who can really play up front for us if Fryatt goes. We've just bought Waggy for £3m and he was Fryatt's sub last season... why the hell would we want to give him away for a defender who isn't worth nearly as much as he is!?! I say we keep Matty and tell Hull and Pearson to do one!
Aumski Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 the problem is sousa is only picking players who perform well in training, not just on the pitch, Andy and matty have both apparently been getting big headed saying they could walk into this team. That's why they've been dropped. fair enough they are our best players, but are they really bigger then the club? i would love to keep king here, but matty i don't think he has the premiership ability. i'd much rather see vaughan, vela, or if i'm right arsenal should sign wellington silva in jan, (they signed him last season but he cant move till he's 18) get him in, he looks extremely promising! and would be a good loan move.

Absolute bullocks Andy king is the most down to earth player you could meet, and matty has never been a big head and if youd have ever met him you would no that

Fox 4 Life Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Kamil Zayatte is set to move to Leicester City on loan tomorrow after agreeing terms with the npower Championship club. Although a regular of City`s time back in the Championship so far, the Guinean centre-back has been short of form and, as the Hull Daily Mail reports, has actively sought a move away from the club during a turbulent spell of big name departures from the KC side. Although away on international duty at present, Zayatte is expected to finalise his move tomorrow when the loan window opens. As was speculated, Matt Fryatt will not form a part of the deal, although Zayatte`s departure will mean Daniel Ayala will join the club on loan from Liverpoool. Zayatte will be the second centre-back to leave in little over a week with Anthony Gardner sent to Crystal Palace on loan. Although Gardner looks set to return in January, Zayatte is expected to make his move permanent if he impresses, with City netting around £1 million. lcfcadam Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 We could always just have some super-player combination of the two called Matt-Kamil Fryatte...
Corky Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Hopefully then Zayatte and Hobbs can form a solid partnership on which to build.
nickelbyfox Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Hopefully then Zayatte and Hobbs can form a solid partnership on which to build. Agreed, Can't be any worse than Moreno! or at least I hope not
h1210 Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Similar article in the Merc, assuming it's not already been posted: Merc Hull City defender Kamil Zayatte will join Leicester City on loan tomorrow – but the deal will not include a swap for Matty Fryatt. City are understood to have agreed a loan deal with the Tigers over Zayatte, and his move is expected to go through when the loan window opens tomorrow. It is not known whether the deal includes an agreement over a possible permanent move in January, but City will not entertain any suggestion of a swap deal for striker Fryatt. A national newspaper said Hull boss Nigel Pearson will ask for Fryatt, who has struggled to hold down a starting spot in Paulo Sousa's City side, in exchange for the Guinea international, but any approach is unlikely to be received well at the Walkers Stadium. The same report said City had agreed a £1million fee to sign Zayatte permanently, but the Mercury has learned that the reason City could not complete the transfer of the 25-year-old centre-back before the summer transfer window shut was because the player rejected a permanent move to the Walkers. City turned to Zayatte after having a bid for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams rejected. Sources in Hull say Zayatte, who has two years left on his contract at the KC Stadium and is paid around £20,000 a week, rejected a three-year contract offer from City because he was reluctant to take a drop in wages. Pearson has conducted a huge cost-cutting exercise since he left City to join the Tigers, and has slashed the wage bill in half. He has been told he cannot strengthen his squad until the wage bill is reduced further, and the departure of Zayatte, who has started every game for Hull this season, will allow him to bring in Liverpool youngster Ayala on a season-long loan. Zayatte scored for Guinea in their 4-1 African Nations Cup qualifier in Ethiopia over the weekend. Sousa sees bolstering his defence as a priority and has also been linked with Nigeria defender Danny Shittu, who has been released by Bolton Wanderers. I wonder what sort of wages we'll be offering him
