So the fact some are still defending Milan despite all his antics because he 'saved our club' (conveniently forgetting the relegation to L1; the horrible appointments and mis-management that lead to the relegation, and the unceremonious forcing out of the one succesful appointment he DID make) isn't showing these fans up as utter ******? He didn't save the club, he saw an opportunity to make a quick buck, and he's done everything he could to get rid of us as quickly as possible with a profit. He's continuously destabilised the club ever since he came here, and when NP had finally pulled off a minor miracle by getting us to the playoffs last season, thus making us an attractive proposition, Milan didn't hesitate for a second to screw the club over by destabilizing the club AGAIN just so he could finally get out of this club. Now you're telling me that what's going on behind the scenes has nothing to do with the fans? It's your club for God's sake and there's been an egotistical maniac at the helm of it for the past 3 years, yet you continue to support him blindly despite his actions? I find that it is very much the concern of the fans what goes on behind the scenes. And to say that the fans aren't responsible for their club... well, I hardly think you meant that, so I won't pick up on that.

If some fans want to support Mandaric, it's them just having a different opinion to you, they aren't 'utter ******'. Nobody is blindly supporting Mandaric, people are simply eager to support the club, the players on the pitch and the manager in the dugout, instead of wasting their time fretting over some bloke that is long gone now. Of course the fans aren't responsible for their club, none of us are shareholders.

They don't have a different opinion. I doubt you'd find many that think Mandaric is a sound bloke who's been honest to the public and his own staff. Instead of being disgusted at having such a character as the chairman at their club, they conveniently ignore or reject his wrong-doings and God forbid they DEFEND him too. Imagine this was a guy YOU worked for, a man with no integrity who'll jump at any opportunity to screw you over. I seriously doubt and sincerely hope that many would want to work under such conditions. The fans might not own the club per se (even though a lot have/had shares in the club) but without the fans' continued support the club would be nothing. Milan can seemingly **** up anything he wants at the club: He can buy the shares for peanuts, he can make take us down to the third tier for the first time ever, he can push out the only success story he's had here, and he can seemingly back his manager and fire him the next day without some fans getting upset. Granted, we might have been a shambles before he took over, but he's done absolutely nothing in his time here to improve things. This is fans' club and they have a moral if not legal responsibility towards the club, and supporting an incompetent chairman with their own money just further enhances the muck-up he's been doing here for the last three years. If that's not stupid and deluded, I don't know what is...

I'll stop my rambling now... apologies for the borefest <_<

a nice round of applause for NP in 2 weeks time, then we focus on the Sven era :scarf:

As much as dislike him you can't blame him he is a businessman and rich for a reason.

Each and everyone of us is a mug. A mug for spending so much money and emotion in to an entity of which we have no control. You can't complain as you have above because it is a choice you and I make.

its not even like he wanted to go, he wanted to stay n everyone let him go, thats not how you progress

Mandaric will be back at Pompey by Christmas. It looks likely that Lee Hoos will have moved on too by then.

The arrival of Sven was down to the Thais, not the chairman.

However Pearson is playing mind games with us too. Why has he waited until now to speak out? Could the timing possibly be linked to Hull's forthcoming visit in a couple of weeks?

Pearson was a good manager but not a top-drawer one. I doubt a Little or an O'Neill would have messed up the playoffs like he did last season. Has everyone forgotten the Wayne Brown episode? Or the shockingly defensive 4-5-1 formation in the first leg? But for those errors, it might have been us playing (and winning!) at Anfield this afternoon.

Anyway, Pearson is now history. Long live Sven!

This might sound stupid but I still haven't got over the way that we let Pearson go. I really did like the bloke and had genuine confidence in the team. I know theres no point going on about it but it just seems ridiculous that we let him go just to have someone more well known in charge. I barely even knew who Sousa was to be honest! We could have been in such a different situation right now. Hopefully though Sven will prove to be a decent manager for us. I thiink his stint at the club could either go really well or really badly. Lets hope he doesn't leave us in a much bigger mess after 5 months.

Milan is more of a crook than a businessman. He never intended to make Leicester City FC a flourishing business, he just wanted to make a few quick bucks at the clubs' expense. His mismanagement probably postponed the sale of the club, and he probably didn't get as fat a profit off of the club as he envisaged. Yes, we're mugs for having supported a club with him at the helm, but we weren't spoilt for choice when MM came in with his offer. Now the situation is completely different. We've got wealthy owners at the helm, but this guy is still chairman of our club, and once again he's allowed to show off his incompetence to the whole world. This time the fans don't have to put up with it as he's no longer the main man... get my drift?

Hopefully that turns out to be true, but why should a deal be struck where he leaves in December and not before or after? And I don't doubt that Sven's arrival was down to the Thais, but whose misguided appointment was Sousa?

Pearson was right to use it against us, and judging from his time with us, the timing of his comments is likely very deliberate. But he just confirmed what many had already sussed out. It's not like he dropped a bombshell that will shock the playing squad or the staff. They're sure to know what happened behind the scenes. I'm thinking he's out to turn us (the fans) against Milan and Hoos, because he's got a personal vendetta against one of them and maybe because he actually cares about some of the people at the club. I might be way off though of course.

Speculating about how Little or MON would've handled the playoffs is a bit of a moot point though. The achievement lied in getting us in the POs in the first place. Besides, MON wasn't without his dressing room issues (Collymore + fire extinguisher anyone?)....

I'm no fan of his.

But as a businessman he clearly intended to make us a flourishing business.

he'd have made a lot more money out of us.

And he may yet leave us in a better position than when he took over.

We may have owners willing to invest more than he did.

We have SGfE as manager, that, to me, seems a step forward.

Perhaps we should be glad that people see us as a viable and ongoing concern.

And hopefully a football club.

Oh yeah? In what way have you gotten the impression he's been trying to build a successful business during the three years he's been here? I can agree that he wanted the team to be successful on the pitch as it would raise the profile and the price of the club, but that's about it I'm afraid. We've lost two of our main assets during his time here, one which he admittedly acquired albeit too late to save us from relegation, and we've only lost ground with regards to getting rid of our crippling stadium debts. In fact, once we finally looked like being on the up with NP, he's ironically shafted the manager only to bring in a failure which has set us back even further. That's how desperate he's been to get rid of LCFC. That's not a way to run a successful and flourishing club, is it?

He's made it very clear where his loyalties lie - at Fratton Park.

Once he's got shot of us (that is, when the league finally approve the takeover) he'll be able to move back there, providing he can convince the courts of his innocence when his tax fraud caseis finally heard next month.

And I don't doubt that Sven's arrival was down to the Thais, but whose misguided appointment was Sousa?

Good question. Maybe, because his international profile (the Portugal caps and Champions League honours) was indeed a lot higher than Pearson's, Mandaric thought NP was expendable in order to hasten the sale and thus recoup at least some of his "investment".

I'd have thought Pearson was more professional than that. He's certainly been in the past when we played against his previous clubs. What's happened since he left us should be no concern to him, except when he comes up against us.

The difference was, MON didn't allow off-field issues (remember his battle with Pierpoint and the Gang of 4?) to affect performances on the pitch. I doubt whether Sven will do so either.

Listened to the interview on BBC Leicester live, nothing that he said particularly shocked me. The rumours that had surfaced seemed to make sense and he pretty much confirmed the truth behind them. There's obviously some bitterness there because he didn't need to talk to the media, either that or he was trying to clear up exactly what happened for Leicester fans (or both, I suppose).

What surprised me more was that he spoke to the media about it at all. Mainly because he's never been the most vocal to the press and the amount of time it's been since it happened.

Look Pearson is gone, isn't coming back.

The person who did it/was involved in it is gonna be gone soon too.

We have a new manager.

Why are we still talking about this??

Where we all the anti-Mandaric chants at Norwich and against S****horpe then?

At Norwich they got drowned out by the happy-clappers who lap up anything they are served by the Club, and Saturday was a joke.

my respect for Pearson has plummeted

oh well

Personally i think he has done well to speak out, we all know Nigel is a reserved man who keeps himself to himself. Milan must be horrible to work for and it appears he did nothing to keep Nigel at the club, I will stand and clap him when he returns to the walkers, every one will now know that we are owned by a Disney corporation. Plus if you were treated like he has been, wouldn't you quit? I would.

Thankyou Nigel Pearson for turning our club around when we were at our most desperate, I thought you did a great job. It is very sad that you left us and were replaced by a touchline fashion guru who has put a dent in this season, but now we have Sven a successful manager who seems to want to do it for us.

I for one back him and I want the best for the badge of LCFC, but Nigel has moved on, good luck to him but our future is NOW and without NP.

Good luck Sven.

Well Pearson speaking out the day after his replacement is sacked is hardly likely to be co-incidental

Gagging clause is obviously off now

Its taken a while as i didnt mind MM,but over the last month or two,i see him in a totally different light.i wouldnt want to be in a dark room if there was a knife there. As for pearson saying, they didnt do enough to stop me talking to other clubs.I have a credit card with a 5k limit,it doesnt mean i have to spend it.no one made him talk! i could clash both there heads together like naughty school boys!(showing my age now)

Couldn't give a flying toss!!!

Pearson has gone doesn't matter why or when or who?

We have a new manager, new coach, onwards and upwards with the new regime.

Funny just a thought, we play Hull next in the league funny how this comes out now!?

Perhaps Mr Pearson did not want to be seen as the bad boy in all of this and has decided to come out now with his version,

(not that I give a toss).

This, to stop a few boos against him at the next game, up the anti mind games and show us in a bad light!?

I for one will be cheering on Mr Sven and the boys in blue!

Pearson old news, so last season , and frankly I don't care! He is now at Hull not Leicester!
