C-man Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 It's not plagiarised, Leicester were singing it LONG before that bunch of mongoloids were. It's been revised from the 70s and 80s but nick chants from a bunch of spastics like Cardiff? I'd rather spend an evening attempting to rim myself. Tommeh thought you were singing the Wale - Chillin' version.
Guest shearfox Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Learning how to not lose is the important thing, so building from the back helps steady the team and gives the players the confidence to drive forward. I would have loved us to play like we did for the first 20 throughout the game, but we didn't get that all important second goal. With another striker and winger we will start getting those goals.
caz05 Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Think you're being harsh their Thrac. It was a huge improvement on the rest of this season in only his first game. The fitness seems to have improved, if not quite there yet, and Sven's signings have improved the team, with more on the way. Not a bad start imo.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Few points I'd like to make. 1. Curtis Davies and Kyle Naughton look like shrewd signings 2. I felt for Rowan Vine, ran all day but got shocking service 3. Yuki Abe, from what i've seen so far is just a signing made purely on behalf of the owners, demanding a decent profile player to boost support and marketing in Asia. 4. Oakley and Wellens played well. 5. King, didn't play brilliant but i just love him, crucial goal again. 6. I don't think we need a striker, just gotta get the combination fit for purpose 7. Leeds away, hmm. Looked decent tonight, Becchio and Somma can change games, but i feel Hobbs and Davies can cope. However there defence isn't great so I think we should be able to nick a goal or 2. 8. Hull fans - hovering around the 'woeful' section of fans that have been to the Walkers this season in terms of noise.

For the first 25 minutes I thought our fitness had improved too. But what you say suggests that Sven voluntarily asked us to ease off the throttle cos we certainly didn't close down quickly in the second half. Yes, the new signings seemed to have improved our defence but that's all i ever seem to hear. I'd dearly like to see us improving our attacking. Personnel wise and in terms of our pace, imagination and preparation.

The Doctor Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Always going to be a difficult one, NP knew that if they could stop Howard in the air, and hassle Waggy constantly then he wasn't going to be far away from mission accomplished. Very impressed with young Naughton who by his own admission is 3 matches away from full fitness, and Davies who said he hadn't played a league game for a year. I thought Bruno had a decent game today and was unlucky not to find the net but Gallagher wasted a golden chance to impress, he made some terrible decisions today and then topped it off by firing over from 12 yards out when it was easier to score. As for Abe, he looks absolutely fooking useless, just dances around the ball, when he finally got hold of the thing he was robbed far too easily. Moussa was far more direct and looks a real prospect, arguably the only Sousa signing that will still be around next season. If we can reproduce the first 20-30 minutes from today's performance at Leeds and be more clinical, we'll take maximum points. waghorn?
Cropwellfox Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Well slowly but surely we're putting the catastrophic effect Sousa has had on the club behind us. It was telling today that not one of the starting XI were Sousa's signings (i'm not counting Waghorn), and for me the two stand out players were the two brought in on loan by Sven. With that said, after 30 mins the balance of the team looked very wrong. We missed the outlet that Dyer (or anybody with pace) gives us when he's playing well, which got better when Moussa came on - one glimmer of light from Sousa's flawed transfer policy. It was a shame that both Howard and Waghorn were a shadow of their best today, can't remember either of them playing so badly to be honest, and Gallagher lurched between average and shocking. One bit of selfish play from Gallagher resulting in a woeful shot when Naughton was absolutely clear to his right summed his day up, and he should count himself lucky that Howard seemed to pick up a knock, as there's no way he'd have stayed on. For the second game in a row Abe's dithering saw the opposition break through, and he needs to get up to speed with this league quickly. A couple of touches showed real promise, though if he is on as high a salary as has been speculated, i'm sorry but we could be spending money a lot more wisely. Davies and Naughton both showed real premier league class and slotted right in - which says a lot about our core fitness.... I cannot see us having a chance of signing either more permanently, but the signs are that Eriksson will use the money given to him wisely, and i look forward to him being able to make a few permanent signings. Now we need to get a pacy right winger on board and another centre forward who can put themselves about. Unfortunately not even Sven is able to sort out the lack of fitness that the squad is clearly saddled with, and unfortunately it's going to take a few weeks of hard work, and possibly mixed results, to put right.
Bugg Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Thought we were a bit hard done by to get a draw today. Thought after going 1-0 up after 3 minutes we were going to hammer them but it didn't turn out that way. Davies is an absolute monster and Naughton had a good game aswell. Moussa looks like he's going to be a star once he starts getting regular first team football. Gallagher was the worst city player today I think, he kept going for glory when he should maybe have passed instead. Oh, and Daniel Ayala was a horrible bastard.
FrankieADZ Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 also, felt this game would have been made for Dyer, he would have torn McShane/Nobby apart if he was fit, hope hes fit for tuesday.
ScouseFox Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 And referees are becoming more and more shocking each week, unless the rules have changed since I qualified as a referee and I've not been informed. Today's ref had no control from start to finish. So many decisions against both teams were wrong.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 also, felt this game would have been made for Dyer, he would have torn McShane/Nobby apart if he was fit, hope hes fit for tuesday. Agreed, he was a huge miss for us today. He would have made a mockery of ginger nuts.
Bugg Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Nigel Miller is an awful referee. Every game I've seen him he has made terrible decisions, not just leicester games but the Norwich-Watford game he was shocking then as well. If I'm right he was the one who sent Howard off last season, wasn't he?

If I'm right he was the one who sent Howard off last season, wasn't he? against watford in april? Thats not really usable as a "he's shit" arguement. That was the right desicion. He was abysmal today - consistantly inconsistant.
davieG Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Paid for 90 minutes got 15, pretty disappointing performance beyond the first 15 nothing really to get excited about, sure Naughton and Davies looked ok but they weren't really tested. Pearson must have thought it was his team selection with Oakley on the right of midfield, would have preferred a mid-field 3 with Gallagher in the hole so that he and King could both join the attack. King must be feeling pretty pissed off with the number of runs he made into the box with the ball either ending up no where near and often not even delivered. Wasn't overly impressed with the 60 to 70 minutes of hoofing either. Massive anti-climax.
FrankieADZ Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Agreed, he was a huge miss for us today. He would have made a mockery of ginger nuts. glad Im not the only one who thought McShane was bloody crap then,

Ozwin Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 I refrained from saying anything about the ref but seeing as you lot have I might aswell too. He was shite! It's pissing me off how bad the refereeing has become down at the Walkers recently. I remember it being quite bad last year too but this year I don't think we've had a decent ref at home.

Ricey Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 6/10 performance overall. We missed Dyer today, no wdth or movement which meant we resorted to the long ball or letting Gallacher fook things up. Work to be done but there are good signs.
lcfc_jme Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Could've been worse I suppose, we could've lost. I am becoming increasingly concerned with Chris Weale and what seems to be a woeful ability to deal with long-range shots. Sure, we should push on and not allow the opposition the chance to take those shots, but Weale seems to concede from range too often for my liking.

Karljohn Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 waghorn? Waghorn was a mandaric signing! Sousa still thinks he's a winger!
ajthefox Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Disapointed with today if I'm honest, even though the promising start fizzled out I felt we could've and probably should've won. Davies looked assured and dealt with pretty much everything Hull threw at us and I was impressed with Naughton too. No width though, Gallagher on the left and Oakley on the right did us no favours at all, especially since Gallagher was pretty poor. Moussa was a real threat when he came on and I'm surprised he didn't come on earlier/start, made such a difference.
Anish Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Sad thing is under Sousa we would have won that game. Lumping the ball up to Howard and waggy not the answer and a Sousa team would have got behind the Hull defence. If only Sousa had the luxury of Naughton and Davies in defence. Proves it wasn't Sousa tactics or playing style it was the quality of player he had to work with. Hope this point at home stops all this pie in the sky talk of promotion this season. Nonsense. We couldn't defend to save our lives under Sousa, we would've been torn apart in defence. He only won 1 league game out of 9 remeber. If Sousa was given the money Sven has been given to bring in loanees, do you really think Sousa would've gone for two young, quality Englishmen? I don't. The quality of players Sousa brought in has been sub-standard (with the exceptions of Waghorn and Moussa, and Waghorn was hardly Sousa's signing). Could've been worse I suppose, we could've lost. I am becoming increasingly concerned with Chris Weale and what seems to be a woeful ability to deal with long-range shots. Sure, we should push on and not allow the opposition the chance to take those shots, but Weale seems to concede from range too often for my liking. Agreed, Weale should definitely have saved that shot. That said, Hull's keeper gifted us our goal too - it was a tame effort by King and we got lucky with the keeper diving the wrong way.
