MrSpaM Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 How did you get that assumption from this ......'En route to Leicester to re-join Sven's revolution!' ??? Because it's blatently obvious he'd rather play at any club in the premiership rather than us. For him to write that, then hours later be linked with a move to premiership club just tells me his heart isnt in Leicester (did the other interested clubs ring him when he was in his car heading for Leicester or something?). I'd rather we had players who want to play for us, and not players who are here because were the next best thing at the moment.

Think everyone wants a player who wants to play for the badge etc but the amount of stick he is getting is too harsh. You can't blame the guy if he got offered a a 3-4 year deal at a Prem club. I'm sure Villa are pushing for that deal too and his agent. He just wants to play football, preferably in the Prem like all players. I think it's obvious he was told by Villa/Agent he was off to join Leicester on loan to the end of the season, and then a last minute offer came in from Brum which suits him, his agent and Aston Villa a lot more. That's it as far as I'm concerned. I don't see some conspiracy how he tricked us, or used his twitter to get an offer somewhere else blah blah. Did he use us? Perhaps in his first spell here, but doesn't every player want to play in the Prem, and loan deals are often used for players to earn a deal somewhere else. Players have to be selfish these days, because they don't have long careers, and need the best they can get over that 10-15 year spell. I actually still think a fully fit Vitor would be a better option anyway, as he can play LCB with Bamba at RCB, Hobbs and Mee cover. Davies may also regret his decision, if he finds himself on the bench again at Brum. Especially, if Leicester go up and Brum go down hahaha!
Bugg Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Don't see what the problem with Davies moving to Birmingham is. He probably already has a house in the area and he'll be guaranteed Premier League football with better wages than what we'll offer him. People need to take their rose-tinted specs off sometimes.

It's not really the problem of going to Birmingham. It's more to do so with the fact that he was on his way here by his own admission (via what he said on Twitter etc). Which means as he was on his way here and going by what Bert said, his agent probably had something to do with this. While Davies is coming to Leicester, Birmingham may have contacted Davies' agent and said they're interested. Agent speaks to client (Davies) and instead of sticking to his word, Davies has probably agreed to a move to Birmingham instead of us.
Christoph Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 And whats wrong with that exactly? He was goign to us but then a bigger club came, so he went to them. I really dont see the big deal, most of us would have done the same if we were in that spot

I really dont see the big deal, most of us would have done the same if we were in that spot It's the fact he committed to us which is annoying me and others! Typical of some footballers these days. They'll say one thing. And do the opposite.
Christoph Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 I just don't see the big deal though, its like if someone offered you a job in derbyshire for a decent wage but on your way, your friend rings you and tells you theres a job closer to home and larger pay, why would you take the harder option??
Fox1651 Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 It's the fact he committed to us which is annoying me and others! Typical of some footballers these days. They'll say one thing. And do the opposite. Totally agree StanSP
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Yeah i agree with StanSP also. Thing is Christoph, if you give your word on one thing you should be man emough to carry it through. Fickle just plain fickle
okie fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 It's the fact he committed to us which is annoying me and others! Typical of some footballers these days. They'll say one thing. And do the opposite. Maybe Villa changed their mind when they got a better offer from Brum.
Kitchandro Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Yeh he really shouldn't have said he was coming to us unless he was sure. It's a bt disrespectful. What's even more disrespectful though is if we offer him more money and he accepts it. I was hearing something about that yesterday and was not happy. If he wants to play Premeirship football I can understand that, but if it's about the money I've got no respect for him, or for us if that's the route we are taking. We are a football club and we should not be degrading ourselves by bowing down to his financial wishes. We are not his bitch.

MPH Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 I have noticed some of the people complaining he is going to birmingham are those who didn't want him back in the first place. Cunningham has been replaced with an excellent LB. Do people think davies is the only decent CB for us to get? Sven will pull another corker out of the bag I am sure of it.....

Has he actually been confirmed as a Birmingham player yet? I am stuck in bed at the moment with tonsilitis so can not check.

theunknownlcfc Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 I hope he doesnt come and goes to brum, its obvious that all this player is worried about is money plus hes to big for his boots. Bamba n Hobbs will do a better job than this cvnt
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Do you see through your throat ?........... No. I do however see you are a **** though.
Kitchandro Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 All down to Davies agent. FACT. Can Davies not make decisions for himself then? Or are you saying his agent wrote the tweet?
STUHILL Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Can Davies not make decisions for himself then? Or are you saying his agent wrote the tweet? No I think he means the mix-up with Davies convinced he was coming here on loan and therefore the Tweets. Agent probably told him it was done deal here and then got him a deal lined up at Brum in the 11th hour etc.
