Love how we have to find out news about our own club by visiting other clubs websites
Babylon Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Love how we have to find out news about our own club by visiting other clubs websites It's not on the Villa OS just their local rags, and you will probably find it in ours when the Mercury links are released (they are delayed a bit now days, probably to try and increase people purchasing an actual paper rather than getting it for free online). Rob Tanner of the Merc posted on his twitter last night that it looked like Villa would let him extend it.
Ric Flair Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 That should see us through until Tunchev's latest return and if he can stay fit then we'll not be as desperate to sign Davies for more than he's worth in January and could get him for a decent price.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 This is excellent news, sucessful teams are built on a solid defence. Onwards and upwards!
Ashley Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Fantastic news. Do we have Naughton untill January or was he just a months loan?

MC Prussian Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Yes! The Rock stays where he is (for now)! Best defender we've had for a while. Next step - extend the deal until the end of the season in January, then make it permanent in Summer 2011.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Good bit of news and business. Been a solid and composed defender so far and it'll keep the consistency in the back-line.
MattyFromLE Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Excellent news! Lets hope Sven/Top gets the cheque book out in January!
Corky Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Excellent, would like for this to turn into a permanent deal when possible.
Tommy G Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 For how long? another month/Until Jan? They've managed to extend the deal for another 4 days
Guest Bilo Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Good news thus, the man's an absolute monster in defence.
hackneyfox Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Apparently there's also a report in the Mirror saying that Villa are ready to offload him in Jan for £3 Million
Babylon Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Apparently there's also a report in the Mirror saying that Villa are ready to offload him in Jan for £3 Million There will be Prem' teams after him, and I doubt we can gamble on 30/40k wages.
Tommy G Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 There will be Prem' teams after him, and I doubt we can gamble on 30/40k wages. Mirror He is paid £25k a week according to the papers but yes you are right about the prem teams bit.
hackneyfox Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 How good will these premier teams be though if Villa are willing to let him go and lose money? If we're doing well in January he may be more willing to come to us than sign for a team that be facing relegation.
