Glad to see he is at least willing to stay but bearing in mind his price tag I'd be amazed if that happened.

He's not been perfect but 2.5 million for someone who is good enough for the prem is a very good deal, and I think if the owners are serious, spending 2.5 million on Davies is something they are obligated to do, or at least try.

Not going for him would be missing out, I genuinely don't see how we could get anyone better for less money. If someone else does please enlighten me..

That was the best we could hope for really. I think then he will sign for us if we get promoted or use this time to put himself in shop window for another Prem club. No doubt his agent will be working hard in the Summer.

Bit gutted about this but kind of don't blame him as prem football could be guranteed with other clubs. If were sitting outside the play-offs then he might have stayed.

Could be a blessing though as O'Neil (The messier) wasn't a fan of his attitude and has got a reputation for throwing his toys out of the pram at villa. We don't want any bad eggs in the squad.

He did say from the very beginning that coming here was to get some football and then go back to Villa so it's not really a case of us not being able to hold onto him. He made it clear from the very beginning that come January he wanted a move to a Premiership team. Cant understand why anyone is so surprised?
