F&@king ****** where's your English pride!

Typical of you lot to be all anti England after a loss,

we had half of the first team out anyway!

I'm proud to be an Englishman, but I'm not a fool. I'm not going to pretend that we can win something, our team is shit and even SGE couldn't get us to win anything, because were that shit. Face facts, England are shit, just pray that Leicester will win some silverware.

France are far better side than us and it was a fair result on the night and on paper.

Fair result? I thought it was harsh on the French.

Leicester before everything in life. Maybe second to family. This would never happen but just in case, FA p**s off!!

Look it's hard to criticise Sven at club level and I'm very pleased he's here - but he was questionnable as England manager. He stuck to his favourites and it hampered us. He couldn't motivate the players when it came to the crunch. He couldn't make any impact substitutions, he just sat back and took the battering of pressure and we clung on for penalties. Which we lost.

I'm not going to say Capello hasn't made mistakes as well because he clearly has, but TBF the team we have now is between generations. Sven had our best generation in years at it's prime, and we didn't get past the Quarters.

I don't think Capello's failures prove Sven was amazing at all. I don't think he had a nightmare either, but he did have his flaws.

The one thing I think it does prove though is that we have very, very few World Class players, and the majority of them are failures for England because they can't mentally handle it. I said to myself 'If Capello can't do it, no one can'. I guess no one can. The players are clearly not good enough - it's one thing to be good for your club but when you get to the World Stage you have to prove you are World Class. Players like Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, etc, cannot handle the pressure, therefore they are not World Class.

TBF, I thought one of the few players that came out of the World Cup with any credit was Emile Heskey. OK, he's not World Class and he never has been, but he was one of the few who didn't let the pressure or what he thought of Capello get in the way, he still worked his socks off. It's a terrible shame that he becomes a laughing stock and Rooney is still a hero.

I officially stopped supporting England after the Algeria match. Absolute disgrace.

I expect us to enter the wilderness years soon.

Went down to Wembley last night, to a man they were woeful, doubling up on Jagielka and Walcott not tracking back, Gerrard pulling the shape apart again leaving the midfield exposed, he was virtually up front with Carroll in the first 25 mins. On the subject of Carroll, Steve Howard could have done what he did last night.

France were far far superior, we are a million miles away with this clown Capello.

Just a heads up for Play Off final day in May, Parking at Wembley was £30, yes £30, the industrial units offer it for £20. And its the usual rip off inside, pint and pie meal deal just shy of a tenner, and nearly 8 quid for hot dog and soft drink. First 8 rows behind the goals and you get soaked.

Got a few funny looks from the southern softies, as went down in me LCFC Burrda training top, and nearly got my eye taken out on wembley way by blokes walking with umbrellas so they don't get their hair wet.

Stick a few quid on Wales to beat England, King, Bale and Giggs will rip them apart!!!

This sounds just like my trip last night, except I got stuck with the other 50,000 people trying to get on the tube. Extortionate amount but I had a great laugh and experience. Hope to be back in May ;)

I thought France looked a class apart in the first half, but considering how young the team was, I thought we did OK in the 2nd.

I tell you one thing, I wouldn't like to play centre half vs Andy Carroll!

After another lack lustre poor display of not being able to pass, looking like they've got lead weights on their feet, and simply giving the ball away too easily to the France, it seems like the nation didnt know it had it so good when Sven was in charge and achieving quarter finals in the major international championships. If/When Capello leaves or is sacked, those bosses of the FA may come running and banging on the door to beg for SGE to come back. Can anyone see much protest from Patriotic fans after-all everyone accepts that the Country's needs should always comes before club. Shouldnt it?

fooking stupid post i dont give a shit about england club before country

Couldn't care less about England anymore and they're going the same way as Scotland IMO. LCFC every time.

oi! england can go be their own version of shit, leave ours alone.

Never been able to relate to this really, I've tried to beak it down and understand it over the years but still not properly got my head around it.

Wales are shocking but it doesn't stop me watching all our games, wanting desperately for us to do well and being gutted every, single time we balls up.

Might have something to do with the fact that the Welsh actually have a country worth being proud of.

Yeah of course but it's different with a national team like Wales. There might not be much footballing success stories for them but at least they have heart, pride and you have a reason to support your boys.

With the England team it's just become this overly clinical, pretentious 'thing' that I feel ashamed to have as our national team. Nothing to do with ability, but it's just the attitude and image as a whole. I can't work out how to explain it.

I also find it hilarious that people STILL think England have a divine right to go and piss any tournament, and that if they don't it's some form of conspiracy, or that the manager is 100% to blame etc. Maybe they're just shit?

It's mainly the individuals for me.

Rooney, Terry, Cole, Lampard...I dislike the lot of them. If these players played for Leicester my natural feeling would be I don't want them to succeed with us.

Yeah for sure that's definitely part of my feelings too. It's coupling the same bunch of mostly arseholes, with the whole 'this is england' pretentious bullshit image we give out to the rest of the world. We are the most hated football team in the world and certainly for good reason.

I'd much rather have a team of characters that put out a good image to the rest of the world, without all the marketing around them. Even if they underperformed too at least we would have something to support.

Leicester could be relegated to the bloody conference and almost all of us on this board would feel just as passionate for them, because it's our club. England hasnt felt like my team for many years now.

So Finnegan, I hope that answers your question a bit!

As epitomized by the ever present Ryan Giggs :crylaugh:

Potential problems?

There are too many non-English players in our 'best' sides in the Premiership. The top clubs best players are not English - Drogba, Van Persie, Torres and Berbatov are all not English. And in goal - Cech, Fabianski, Reina and Van Der Sar are all not English.

Where as, look at the Spain squad, where the majority of their players play for Barcelona. And Barcelona's best forward is Spanish. Their number one goalkeeper is Spanish.

Look at Manchester City. Adam Johnson is a fantastic footballer, yet he can't get in the side because of the non-English players.

And also, some England players don't want to play for the country. Every time a England match is around the corner, Terry becomes injured (I know he is out at the minute for a few weeks, but in the past). Ashley Cole played for Chelsea against Sunderland, yet England are playing France a couple of days later and he becomes 'injured'.

The manager of the national side is not English. Why has he never managed Italy before?

The England players shouldn't get paid for playing for England, they should play for pride.

The press constantly dig into our players. For example, the Rooney issue. Why do they have to print it like they do? He did that, so what, let his feet do the talking on the pitch and in the paper. What Rooney did happens all the time. I know they are supposed to be role models but the press just constantly ruin a footballer.

I believe they give their appearance fees to charity.

Abso flippin' lutely.

I don't think that England have a divine right to win or qualify for anything, doesn't mean I shouldn't hope or be broken hearted when we don't. It doesn't have to be club or country for me it's club and country.

Finally someone I agree with - what the fooks up with you lot? Be proud to be a City and an England fan - some people on here are just negative about everything. If you're not proud of where you're from there's something wrong in my book.

Love City and Love England.

LCFC before England for me.

It's always been like this for me... to be quite frank, I found it rather funny that France beat England. I almost wanted them to because of the press they'd get afterwards.

I MUCH prefer supporting Belgium these days as the expectations are high, but realistic... England and the English fans need to get some perspective and realise that we're a shit team, have a manager who play's us to what he knows and not what we need to be doing and that we don't stand a chance in any future tournaments for the foreseeable future. Then maybe we can sit back and realise that only losing 2-1 to a far more technically cohesive and talented team like France, isn't such a bad result.
