G-OIMC Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 Is Sven good enough?? Are you lot f**king mad? He's one of the best managers in the world.Voted the second best England manager ever. You have got to give him a year or so in charge and let him bring his own squad in.Lets be honest out of (our) not on loan squad who would he keep? King and Wellens maybe? We need a winger and a Jay Bothroyd type player.. Do i care we get into the play offs this year no! Why we have at most 3 players good enough for the prem. He's building a team give him 18 months and we will fly. I might add that Cunningham is not touch on Berner!
BruinFox Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 Couldn't agree more - those idiots bashing his tactics after the debacle at Ipswich have no idea what the **** they are talking about. He is undoubtedly one of the best managers in England today and we are damned lucky to have him.
Zingari Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 surely a Scandinavian manager would have used better tactics on snow
G-OIMC Posted 20 December 2010 Author Posted 20 December 2010 surely a Scandinavian manager would have used better tactics on snow Like he said snow is for skiing.
Zingari Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 Like he said snow is for skiing. so why didn't he get franz klammer on loan then ? ps just joking
Guest Mee-9 Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 so why didn't he get franz klammer on loan then ? ps just joking Maybe he should of recruited 'Eddie the Eagle' in especially for that mate. Specialist Coach.
blueredswed Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 surely a Scandinavian manager would have used better tactics on snow In Sweden we don´t play on snow! I´m sorry forgot in march we playing friendly preseasons matches. But this match (I saw it on swedish television) should never start. If you got a penalty how could you see if it was inside or outside.....
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 20 December 2010 Posted 20 December 2010 Long Live SVEN :sge: as long as he doesnt do a Megson, Mcghee, Little (two faced w***ers) on us. SGE is genius
accessory Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 So why is his record in away games no better than Sousa's was?
Wymsey Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 So why is his record in away games no better than Sousa's was? May probably be the extra physical presence of the home players and on top of that the fans getting behind them
Christoph Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 He's done wonders to recover us from the car crash that was sousa, I dont think anyone smart doubts his managerial skills
AmyLGK Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 He is a legend and I have every faith in him! People who moan that we have so many players on loan are just idiots - if Sven hadn't have got them then we'd still be leaking goals, losing more and they'd question why he didn't get any loan players. I can't believe what some people come out with!
B52 Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 So why is his record in away games no better than Sousa's was? Oh, shiut, I took the bait...... Sousa managed to get 0.2 points per game. Sven has managed to get 1 point per game. Before what should not be, 1,2 points per game. So before Ipswich Sven managed a whole point per game better. Over a whole season it's 23 points more or as it stands now, 18 points more. It,s better than Burnley, on level with Notts Forest.
Parafox Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 Maybe he should of recruited 'Eddie the Eagle' in especially for that mate. Specialist Coach. At least he would've Dived more than Kirkland did
phillthefox Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 I cannot believe i am reading this sh!t, is sven good enough???????????? Be real this guy is one of the worlds greatest managers and already showing his worth with players he attracting.... some people expect it all on a plate within a few weeks of him taking over. i mean lets look at a few other managers we have had recently martin allen gary megson ian holloway - granted good manager just not for us paolo sousa and yet you question SVEN being good enough............ :sge: :sge: :sge: :sge: :sge:

I couldn't believe it when he joined us. The 2nd best manager ENGLAND ever had (never mind league football). His record is closer to that of the worlds best than the likes of many Premiership managers. What exactly do you want, you moaners and pessimists? What would REALLY suit you? Who, exactly, would you choose over Sven? You need to realise just what we have got here. A mid-table Championship side with an INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed manager. He will and does attract bigger names in football as well as positive media attention. Get REAL folks
cambridgefox Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 I think as fans some are never happy,if you had said a few years ago Sven would be our manager ALL would have laughed, now we have a world class manager, beyond our wildest expectations, some are still moaning.i also laugh when we are linked with certain players and people say they are shit, when a few years back they would have snapped your c**k off to have such a player. Spoilt children springs to mind. I know it is very early days, but the new owners seem like they will stump up money,of which we have never had before, just look at some of the loan signings. The jury is still out,but i so far cannot praise them enough.
Corky Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 So why is his record in away games no better than Sousa's was? Sousa- five away games, 1 point. Sven- six away games, 6 points.
Thracian Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 Here we go again. I can hardly remember anyone saying or suggesting that Sven is not a good manager. But why that should mean he's beyond criticism despite some glaring mistakes I don't know. And as for Sousa getting the most indefensible pillorying, what nonsense. The circumstances for the two of them weren't even vaguelly similar so comparison is worthless. At least one person has seen the light though. That we are buiding a side for next season. Providing, of course, that we don't implode on the increasingly frustrating irrelevence of this season and take another tumble. No, it's not likely. But it's a nagging concern to me. There are too many things I don't like about doing things in a rush.
Babylon Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 I can hardly remember anyone saying or suggesting that Sven is not a good manager. But why that should mean he's beyond criticism despite some glaring mistakes I don't know. Quite a few people have been to be honest. Nobody minds constructive criticism, but people saying he's not good enough, and that our form is no better than under Sousa is compete and utter pish.
Corky Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 We had a couple of threads questioning whether we'd improved under Sven. I've read others say he's not the right man or he doesn't motivate the players enough. If you're going to post that our form is no better then you need to back it up.
Thracian Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 Quite a few people have been to be honest. Nobody minds constructive criticism, but people saying he's not good enough, and that our form is no better than under Sousa is compete and utter pish. The form figures are incontestible - but you know and I know that Sousa was set up to be a fall guy. If people want to compare Sven's points return with Pearson's - fair enough. But equally they could compare how Leeds have performed under Grayson this season and on a seemingly much smaller budget, thus emphasising the value of stability and team spirit. Whatever, Sousa is just being flogged as pointlessly as a dead horse.
