Collymore Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 No thanks Phillips would bag for fun in this league....
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 Don't want him. Too small for starters and fook knows when the last time he played 90 minutes was. Doesn't offer anything that we can't get from Darius. Great player in his day though.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 As old as the hills but knows where the goal is. I can just imagine the ball flying in the top corner off his zimmer frame.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 No matter how old he is, Kevin Phillips will get get goals more than easily in this league. People dismiss suggestions too quickly based on their age. *And I can't believe Alex McLeish hasn't realised that Kenny Miller is not a Premier League striker.
alex walker Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Kasper Schemeical for keeper buy around 1m - 1.5m James Vaughan 1m Cardiff have loads of strikers might have a chance with bothroyd or chopra -2m for bothroyd 1.5m for chopra Kyle Naughton 2m - 2.5m
muzzy1981 Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Kasper Schemeical for keeper buy around 1m - 1.5m James Vaughan 1m Cardiff have loads of strikers might have a chance with bothroyd or chopra -2m for bothroyd 1.5m for chopra Kyle Naughton 2m - 2.5m I rate all these player me ol mucker but bit below asking price on some and wil be difficult to get: KS - 3m+ Can't see Grayson selling or him leaving unless prem club come Vaughn - On his way to Cardiff by the looks of it, not sure if worthy of 1m, when he was linked at 500k he woud have been worth a buy. Bothroyd 3m+ Doubt would come to another Champ side not whilst they sitting pretty in 2nd, he wants Prem action Chopra - Same situation as Bothroyd, playing regularly and 2nd in the league Naughton 4m - Was bought with Kyle Walker form Sheff united for 12m, so redknapp will want some decent return on that, the way he's playing too I think he will get at least 4m. Think we are in desperate need of a new target man to replace Howard, Bednar didn't show the desire to want to play for us. Someone more versatile, like Les Ferdinand was for us, hard to get hands on must be one out there though!
themotivator Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 i think trying to sign players from champ sides who have more chance of going up than us (boothroyd, schemeical, mackie before he was injured etc) is a bit of a waste of time. it doesn't make sense for the player, unless he is likely to get dropped upon promotion a move to us would mean turning his back on a chance for premiership football. and the ones who would get dropped from promotion contenders aren't good enough to come here.
conradno1 Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Ricardo Fuller. would love this but i bet he woudnt
Stadt Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Rob Hulse doesn't start very often at QPR does he?
LCFCmatt Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 I say: Matty Taylor Kris Commons Giovani Dos Santos
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Rob Hulse doesn't start very often at QPR does he? There is a reason for that. He is average. Ok but not someone you would strive to sign if you have the ambition we are reported to have.
LCFC_15 Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 1. Nils Petersen - Striker - (Currently plays for FC Energie Cottbus in Germany Bundesliga who play in 2nd Division). He's only 22, 6ft 2, top goalscorer in the division with 11 goals. Scored 2 goals against Wolfsburg in the German Cup who are in Bundesliga 1st Division Would be a valuable signing if LCFC approach him as they are in need of a top striker that will lead them to Premier League.
skegness fox Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Danny Graham and Niel Danns both watford and palace need the cash would also have a punt at Kris Commons apparently available for around 750 k
Topman Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Hi all, I have always follow foxestalk but never actually joined in a discussion, what do you think of Tuncay from Stoke? He can play upfront/ midfield and pretty decent in the wing as well, great crosser of a ball.

kyle09uk Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Would wet my pants for Sylvan Ebanks Blake I remember the season Wolves went up I wanted to put a bet on that he'd be top goalscorer in the league, wonder what a tenner would have got me : D
s11nny Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Me being very optimistic RM Puncheon or Hammill. FW Giovani Dos Santos. GK Shay Given or Westwood. LB Fabio

Darkon84 Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Would wet my pants for Sylvan Ebanks Blake I remember the season Wolves went up I wanted to put a bet on that he'd be top goalscorer in the league, wonder what a tenner would have got me : D not sure of just how true this is, but i heard when Holloway came that he had the opportunity to bring Ebanks-Blake with him, but went for fat Barry Hayles instead
