Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Players have broken other players legs yet people are moaning about a couple of spitting incidents. Ah, yes, the actions of other players, that's relevant to the arguement as to whether or not Diouf is a 'character.' You say it as if people condone violent tackles that result in injury, too. And obviously, spitting at other people, players and fans, is fine and acceptable when you consider that some people suffer leg breaks through some rash challenges. Whoopsy.
Jackirius Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 He'd still rip this division apart. Players have broken other players legs yet people are moaning about a couple of spitting incidents. Are you for real? Diouf is one of the biggest pricks the premier league has ever seen.
Wymsey Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Where's Djibril Cisse now? He could do a good job for us with Vassell
Edmund Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 The funny thing is you lot seem to be missing or ignoring the main point...... Diouf would rip this division apart!!! Diouf could spit in my mrs's pussy for lube for all I care as long as he was delivering the goods on the field. If you can't see that someone of Dioufs calibre would add quality to our team then you've got no footballing brain.
ibbosuk Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Are you for real? Diouf is one of the biggest pricks the premier league has ever seen. Would add quality to our team, and we are struggling to do that right now, despite having money. (((BUY HIM IF HE WILL COME)))).............
CosbehFox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 There's a line, Diouf crosses it. He could be the African Maradona, no thanks. Don't want my club going through the crapper cos of a player, a player lasts a contract, fans last a lifetime.

If you can point out, from any of my post on this subject, where I've said he wouldn't add quality to our team, I'll give you a medal. It's not his quality I'm disputing, neither am I, how good he would be in this league. READ. The 'funny thing is,' as well as no footballing brain, you don't seem to have a functioning one at all.
alex walker Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 ST- James vaughan stick a bid in for around 1m - 1.5m RW/LW - We could put in a bid for Nathan Dyer? looks good takes people on? 750k - 1m RB- Naughton SIGN HIM UP! 2m CM- Jay Spearing - 1m
SPF07 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Does Giles Barnes get regular game time at West Brom? Giles Barnes in addition to any of the below would be a great addition - *Danny Graham (Decent bid would leave watford with no choice due to financial situation) *Paul Konchesky (Not getting a look in at Liverpool since Hodgson departed, so much so that they are playing Johnson on the wrong side) * Niko Kranjcar (Steven Pienaar on way in means that his none existent place in the team becomes more unlikely) * Curtis Davis (Out of our hands but if no one comes in for him then we should land him)
Wymsey Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Vennegoor Of Hesselink was a player i admired whilst he was at Celtic. Always there when the ball's near to him and can also be a target man like Howard who we need to get rid of as his performances have did quite sharply in my opinion. Don't mind seeing him here.
Edmund Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Well MTWG you seem to be obsessed with a couple of petty spitting incidents and haven't discussed any of his footballing qualities, so one can only assume you've got an agenda against the guy. I'm looking at it purely from a footballing perspective and it's clear that the guy is better than what we've got already. Afterall this is a footballing forum. Sometimes in football you've got to take a punt on the renegades and I'm sure someone like Sven would get the best out of him. There are footballers who've done ten times worst who don't get anywhere near the same treatment as Diouf. Anyway it's pointless arguing with you as he's too good for us and will get a gig in the prem
Edmund Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6681252,00.html Pascal Chimbonda, ok he's 31 but as it says in the article he can play anywhere in back 4. Signed for QPR.
RizLCFC Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Sounds like Sven has a few lined up... What makes you think that?
Jackirius Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 What makes you think that? He said after the match.
themotivator Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 (apologies if mentioned before cba with 20 pages of champ/league 1 top scorers) probably/definitely one for if we get promoted, but since we are getting linked with lots of svens old mates from ivory coast i would like to put forward my ridiculous choice. on fire in france at the moment, helping lille to op of the table. he is wanted by lots of prem clubs though, and has said he wont leave lille till the end of the season at least. buuuuuuuuuuut, would bum sven forever if he bought him here. coolest ivorian by a country mile mate. my favourite anyway.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Where's Djibril Cisse now? He could do a good job for us with Vassell Panathinaikos. As for Diouf, he is a vile creature and one of the worst human beings I've ever had the misfortune of casting my eyes upon.
Babylon Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 I'd buy Southamptons youth scouts. £30m + from the sales of Bale, Wallcott and Chamberlain (when he goes) alone in recent years.
Ric Flair Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 I'd buy Southamptons youth scouts. £30m + from the sales of Bale, Wallcott and Chamberlain (when he goes) alone in recent years. Is this Chamberlain actually very good? I've seen nothing of him except a flukey brace he scored a while back. Seems outrageous a player can be worth millions before he's even played many games. Although Bale and Walcott have both turned out to be superb, so these teams know what they're doing when they buy them at 17.

But like you say, the others have turned out ok. Why can't we produce a few of these? Even if we did we'd probably sell him for £7.50 anyway.

It is odd, our youth team has been as good as it's ever been in the past 3-4 years yet all we've got to show is Stearman, Mattock, King and Gradel. King's worth being about £3 million right now and the rest a combined total of about the same and that's being kind to them. I also don't see where the next star is coming from either.
Babylon Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 It is odd, our youth team has been as good as it's ever been in the past 3-4 years. Great team, but no great players. Do Saints have a reserve team?
hackneyfox Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Diouf could spit in my mrs's pussy for lube for all I care as long as he was delivering the goods on the field. Nice! Posts like that show why you wouldn't mind someone like him coming to our club. Have you mentioned this to Mrs E?
